You devs are absolutely killing it with these updates! I'm genuinely impressed by how consistently this team delivers on time—something even many big gaming companies struggle to do. One question, though, a bit out of the blue: if the Torque3D engine ever reaches its limits, would you consider switching to Unreal Engine 5 or another engine in the future? Or is the long-term plan to keep evolving Torque3D?
We are investing a lot of dev time and resources in rewritting/modernizing and adding features to our Game Engine. At this point, it's quite far from what it once was. I think at this point you can think of it as the Theseus game engine We chose this approach as it seems to be most suited for our kind of special game needs. As for limits, whenever we reach a limit, we try to improve it or eliminate it. It all depends on current priorities and the time we can invest in solving some issues. Of course, we "pay" the price of this approach, but it also gives us more room and freedom
Unreal Engine 5 is so unoptimized and the games that use it have bad performance issues. Not a good idea.
This is awesome I can't wait. Thank you so much to the developers put so much hard work into this update! I think adding a drag and drop feature where I have the game running in half of the screen and the files on the other and drag the mod into the running game. I find moving files too hard
Hey, just wondering. Will beam.ng ever go on ps6, since it is coming out around the games release, like a dual play or something? Also, will beam ever compete with racing sims like gran turismo and gran theft auto? Thanks
Is fog appearance just based on altitude or will it also appear based on additional geographic or environmental factors?
i realy just need to ask, are you also working on improving the AI traffic, please can you guys make the traffic move more realistic and just adjust how thay act
Hey guys, I just wanted to say thanks for continuing to support this game after all this time. It's honestly refreshing to see a game still getting updates years later instead of being abandoned after launch. I've gotten a lot of hours out of it, and it's obvious that you still care about improving it. I was wondering if you've ever considered adding DLSS or FSR support? I think it'd be a pretty nice addition. It would obviously help people with older or weaker GPUs get better performance, but I'd also love it because the current anti-aliasing can look pretty rough at times. DLSS (or even DLAA) and FSR have come a long way and usually do a much better job of cleaning up shimmering and jagged edges than traditional AA. I know features like this aren't as simple as just flipping a switch, so I'm not trying to ask for an ETA or anything. I'm mostly just curious if it's something you've talked about internally or if it's on the radar at all. Either way, thanks again for all the work you've put into the game. It's really appreciated.
