beamng has grown so much sinds i began on 0.25. i was thinking running beamng on a tablet on winlator was crazy but offcially on a ps5 is even more crazy for me.
I would LOVE to see an update add a NASCAR inspired stock car though. It could turn BeamNG into the ultimate NASCAR simulator.
Is my boy the Bruckell Moonhawk going to get a remaster? Maybe a few new body styles, like a sedan, wagon, and/or ute?
Is all the legacy angular + CEF UI going away for this update? Like will it be purely VUE and be able to run on some other more efficient renderer rather than essentially a stripped down web browser window. Also how will this work on PS5 since it does not have CEF I dont think?
So will beam ever come to xbox kinda surprised that if it is it would be released with the ps5 release
would there be a DX11 MODE since DX12 has issues with linux? I play on Proton because it works better
Well Tdev was posting lots of stuff in Discord, so i think ( do not hold me to it ) but sometime soon for PC and later ps5
why not play on Vulkan? pretty sure its the only renderer thats natively supported on Linux, instead of DX11 and DX12, which run through Proton's translation layers
I don't recall how long, but a long time, and to various degrees of effort. The past year has been the most active by far when talking about console porting. About input delay, while we haven't done any motion-to-photons measurements to get real numbers, the feeling is overall a similar latency to PC, nothing special about it that we know of at the moment. Generally latency numbers have a better chance of staying lower on consoles than on PC, due to the near complete control over the entire hardware and software stack. Compared to PC platform, where each person has different hardware combinations (opening up the chances of weird bugs happening), run random driver versions, inject 3rd party software that modifies how input works, run arbitrary amounts of software in the background, etc. Note that I'm talking about input delay. Input delay (input lag) is a different technical concept than "game is laggy", which people often use to talk about pure framerate. A high-end modern PC is for sure gonna be able to outperform the older hardware of these consoles. VR is still experimental with tons of bugs and tons of room for improvement. Are you referring to one bug in particular that affects you (maybe even makes VR unplayable), and if so, which? Please write in the dedicated experimental VR thread, rather than here, to make sure the issue will be tracked. Thanks!
Quick question, did you guys see any improvements in the AA? Becuse one problem i have with the game is how thin objects get alot of jagged edges. Could we get a new anti aliasing method?
I play on a laptop with RTX 3050 4GB and there is a chance performance for me may drop big time, but I'm very excited to for this new update!
