Well, there's a bit more to it. Simplified traffic cars also use a slightly lower-poly model with an insanely un-detailed interior, as for lights, if they're the same to MK2 Pessima lights but in lower quality, i'll just link those to the crosssport's simple traffic model.
Its only the interior thats lower poly, most simplified traffic have the same exterior and lower poly suspension and drivetrain. Also don’t forget to do the trim system properly. --- Post updated --- Also i hope you include the taxi
Hi, is it just me or does the crosssport has taillight bug issue? It shows like it's flickering, only the glow works, but lighting, it's not good.
Hello. It's been a while since i posted anything in here. Obviously as usual in my case, it had to do with all the holidays, education focus and recently focus on practicing the driving tests online. However in the free time, i was working on completely remodelling the CrossSport for a full remake. Here's the screenshots of the current progress as of now: It's not what i'd call fast progress as i am very busy all the time, so this is still very much bare. Simply saying, it's on a slow progress. If you look at the screenshots, some might tell that the front bumper grille looks a bit similar to that of a Mitsubishi Lancer WRC car, this is not a coincidence as i chose to model the more sportier rally-like design of the car first before i'd do a more basic one, kinda like what Mitsubishi did with Lancers and other models where they have two completely different designs for both regular cars and the Evolution cars. Spoiler: Potential questions that may arise from this Why am i remodelling it? I am not satisfied with the model at all. The current model in the current repository version has a ton of rough spots that i really dislike and really needs to be worked on. Upon closer inspection (with a help of a friend as well), the only logical solution would've been a complete remodel and this idea stuck. As i began remodelling, i then thought to tweak the design so that it resembles the real car (2007 Mazda CX-7) less. There's still some things that needs to be worked on. What do i have in mind for this remake? Well, a lot, apart from the modelling, i'll completely rework the configurations list and make the regional differences really show more than just visually since regions tend to tinker with the performance figures, mostly in Japanese markets due to very strict regulations and heavy taxing. Functionality as well is on my mind as well, many people before mentioned things like the animated wipers, openable gloveboxes, etc etc etc, and honestly? I'd like that as well. Another thing that at first i was very keen on but recently got a bit skeptical about is the 3-door body style. I'll leave this one up to you, should i consider this or would it look stupid on a family crossover? Let me know. Will the current version be kept as a "legacy version" of the mod? Most likely yes, while the reworked version might be better, i know some people would prefer the classic instead and i will totally understand that. If i decide so, i will simply post the reworked version as a new mod, while the old one would be kept as a pre-rework, if it sounds familiar, that's exactly what Theo Wilkinson did with the Hirochi CCF remake. Who knows, i could try to give the old one some improvements of its own as well if i so desire to, but it's best to wait for it to even happen, IF it happens at all. There is a bit of an upside to this however. Now that i have aquired a new laptop that is ideal for modelling, i might be able to work on this even when i am away from my desktop computer whenever i have a chance to work on it. But even then, it won't gurantee i'd be absolutely focused on it, so yeah, patience is key to success. That's it for now, see you all later.
Personally I think the back (especially the space for the taillights) looks too dodge durango like, too American looking for a Japanese vehicle, I do really like the rest of the design though! Looking forward to see where this goes
Ibishu Hopper is literally a jeep wrangler, so i dunno which one is more american, this or that. But regardless, thank you.
Awesome stuff, just a suggestion i think having another look at the engine sounds wouldn't go amiss. I'm personally not a fan of the current ones. Still awesome job and im looking forward to it!
yooooo this is peak one question, is that tailight design going to be a single piece? or is there gonna be like a chrome strip connecting both tailights? if you still plan on keeping this 2007 id go for a chrome strip since these types of headlights only started popping up in the late 2010s (maybe a facelift would then switch it out for a one piece tailight)
it's a single piece design with a small chrome trim piece below. I took this inspiration from the second generation SEAT Toledo (see second picture) and the chrome piece is my decision (if there is any car that has this too, it's most likely a coincidence). I just did this design because... well, why not? It makes it more original than the real thing really.
it is a cool design, i pointed it out since these sort of one piece tailights were phased out from like 2005-2014, originally they became popular in the 80s, they died off in like the 2000s, and returned as long led strips when leds started being a thing in the mid 2010s, but if done well it can probably look very nice
Nice ! Are you going to take inspiration from newer Mazda models for the interior or you are planning on keeping it 100% lore friendly and custom ?
