I bought this mod and when i click on it in game it is saying it is outdated or corrupt how do I fix this, thank you
I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed by the Barstow IV. I purchased it with the hopes that it would be updated, but I guess I'm a fool. I've been proven wrong.
I've got a question to Lucasbe. If I'd like to refund your paid mod can I or you don't agree? Ps: sorry if my English is bad.
If you want high customisation, I sincerely hope you REALLY love V8s. If you want good performance, it's... there? It, as other cars, kinda requires a lot of customisation - actually, like the SN95 itself. It is quite accurate to the SN95; in the way that it seems to emanate BCOE (Big Crowd Obliteration Energy). I would not buy this for the interior. In my opinion, it's kinda more of a "DLC" mod? Lucas isn't wrong; it does match dev quality, in a way. I just don't think it's worth to be paid as if it's higher quality than the CCF or Vertex.
Vertex isn’t so much high-quality as it is feature/customization-rich, it has a considerable amount of jank.
Yeah I'm not saying RR is good. I'm saying the quality of the interior is what paid mods should strive for. As above. Little to nothing for interior interaction other than the windows, which even now are beginning to be used in free mods more commonly --- Post updated --- My point still stands even if you hate it. The CCF has the interior quality and the Vertex has the customisation. (Yes I quoted twice) If the bar is high, expectations are high, and that is what should be expected if you are paying for a mod on a game where 99% of mods are free. Dev quality should be the bare minimum for mods on the official BeamNG Forums - Very rarely will any exceed it, but they often do meet it. Why would I buy a mod that has the same quality as, say, the Soliad Wakefield or god forbid the (currently released version of) Baarry's S550 revamp? I'm not spending my money on something I won't drive. Do I sound ignorant? Likely, but honestly I don't care. Out of all of the paid mod authors I have seen that aren't ignorant bastards, i've seen two, and I've even offered assistance to one of them.
Oh. I mean...I'm not sure I've ever really used interior interaction on cars except for openables, which the Barstow IV has - doors, hood, electric windows. What else would be needed for interactability?
If I may... - Horn (Wheel) - Wipers (Stocks) - Signals (Stocks) - Hazards (Dash/wherever Ford put it) - Seat adjustment (Yes I said seat adjustment) - Passenger/rear folding (doesn't have to be hard; can be the same function style as the doors) Am I asking for too much? Depending on the mod. But for the Barstow IV which is missing a fair amount of customisation? Not really.
wtf lol only thing here thats fair is the indicator stocks moving and the hazards i get that u might think that 4 eur is a lot for a mod but you have all the right to not buy it, with the time and quality of his mods i think its ignorant to say its not worth it though because it definitely is
If this is worth it then the game itself should be hundreds of USD. There's no reason to buy an unupdated, barely-dev-quality car tbh.
Crazy thing to say, this would mean that there would be no mods on the forums at all if this was the standard. Keep the Soliad Wakefield out of this. And, if you really wanted a good example of this, go find some random crappy paid mod to use as an example instead of free mods. Yes. Very much so. Not every car you need to drive in the game needs to be dev-quality. You need to understand that a lot of modders don't have the time nor skill available to create dev-quality mods. Take the Wakefield for example. Yes, it's lower quality than something like the Segra Ultimat, but that's mainly because the mod author is 17, and probably has to worry about school. Also yes. I'm assuming you're comparing this to a RoyalRenderings mod, which, while it has lots of interior customization and features, his mods are often insanely unoptimised and have a bad crash model.
eh, close enough --- Post updated --- not even gonna try to refute most of these since they were either answered by me or are mainly talking about creators like Lucas Mind you I have said quite the few times I'm referring to the interior quality. I know RR has a bad exterior, that's not the point. If you cannot update your mods that people pay for, among the slew of issues i mentioned before - don't make it paid.
Let's break down the specific interior features you asked for then: I have never seen a mod with this feature. It's definitely not a standard for paid mods, nor free mods. Firstly, it's stalks, not stocks. Second, this is more feasible to add, but it's not required. Basically the same thing as the wiper stalk. This I actually agree with. Adding the hazard switch wouldn't be that hard to do. While this is a cool feature, I doubt it would ever be used, and even the CCF doesn't have this feature. See, that would be a cool feature, but in this car, there's no use for it. I doubt anyone ever has passengers in the rear seats. Even the Procyon Avior, the crown jewel of paid forums mods, doesn't have this feature.
