Gavril Mamba (2019-present) Naming: It was supposed to be a Bruckell originally and I have been working on it although abandoned due to the learning more BeamNG content to refine a vehicle, but since the Bruckel Ravix came out, I have decided to rebrand it as a Gavril and this Mamba is coming out from being shelved aside indefinitely. The Mamba is reminiscent to the real world Ford Shelby Cobra Concept in terms of naming, and appearance is strongly derived from the Ford Shelby GR-1. Base 3D model and credits to Blue3D: "Shelby GR-1" (https://skfb.ly/oPJBA) by Blue3D is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Lore: Gavril has since took notice of the Scintilla's prototype test cars at the meanwhile slowly working on a supercar, which prompted them to do something drastic aside from putting truck-derived engines slapped with superchargers into sedans while calling it a day. They have inspired by the idea of classic muscle car appearance such as the Barstow, but with a twist of adding two more cylinders and a dry-sump oil lubrication system thus an 8L OHV V10 supercar. To improve its handling, Gavril also reached out to ETK for consultation and returned with an ETK K-Series ttSport where much of its suspension parts will be retrofitted to the Mamba. Personal insight: On the other hand, I think there is a lack of a North American supercar with a V10 engine, whereas in Europe and Japan, V10s are commonly found in supercars. Current: Spoiler: WIP Cutaway Pics Progress List Exterior: Finished on one half (except doors, doors will have their handles redone, think of the flushed handles to improve air profile), now needed UV remapping and probably improve the shading Interior skin: WIP retrofitting interior carpet from ETK, palette color code-wise will refer from Gavril and some elements from Bruckell Misc: Will add ducts to front grille and maybe side vents (ported from ETK 800) Engine model and piping: DONE Dashboard: Not yet started (Mostly finished now), should be a mix between the Gen IV and Gen V Dodge Viper, (Gen IV dominant, with Barstow-derived air vents and ETK-derived navigation), steering wheel is finished Gauges: Bolide-derived but with heavy modifications (DONE) Spoiler: WIP Pic Rims: Not yet started (May reuse some ETK rims as a tribute to @Fordster 's Viper mod) Tires: Not yet started (but rear tires will reuse Sunstorm's 335/30R19's JBeam and model, front tires will be 255/40R19, tire type will only be offered between Sport 2R or race to reduce wheelspin) Skin: Not yet, not until exterior is finished JBeam: Some bits started and finished, WIP Openables: Normal opening on the doors, rear tailgate and hood will be Bolide-derived, not started (probably will need help) Suspension: Will be reused from ETK K-Series Jbeam-wise and modified in models Lights: Front headlight bulbs will be eSBR-derived, rear taillights will be eSBR-derived but with my own custom arrangement, side markers will be reused from ETK K-Series Q: wEn ReLEz? A: As soon as its ready enough for a beta release Q: Eww its so ugly, are you going to change some exterior bits? A: To improve mesh quality, yes since I remeshed some parts (hood, side fenders, rear panel) to avoid them having excessively high polycount Q: If its ugly, it better have a high top speed! A: Yes of course, assuming if you can handle it without wrapping it to a pole in the first 10 seconds. More than 700 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque coming from the 8L V10 should be a sign that it is very fast. Q: What wheel drive is it? A: RWD only, due to insufficient space for such a huge 8L V10 engine (80 cm in length) Bonus Q: What transmission will it have? A: 6-speed manual, 6-speed manumatic transmission and (race-only) 6-speed sequential transmission Q: What configs will it have? A: A standard 700+hp config with both manual and automatic, a twin turbo configuration (one street offered both manual and automatic, drag offered only in sequential), a modified NA (non-street legal, manual only, includes nitrous) configuration with 1000 hp in total, a police config (automatic only), a track config (with lower power at about 600-ish hp) Q: But why no AWD for the Mamba??? A: That's the point, if you want an AWD V10 supercar, go get the ETK F-Series, the Hirochi Sunstorm, or the Civetta Scintilla instead. Think of starting this thread as an organizer to keep me motivated to work on this so that it doesn't get shelved aside like many other mods. THIS THREAD IS SUBJECT TO FURTHER CHANGES FOR FURTHER PROGRESS/IMPROVEMENT.
Steering wheel (original ETK steering wheel had non removable "ETK" badging in both base and normal maps, so had to circumvent that with some Scintilla steering wheel bits and then remap them). Aside that, would you like a custom badging for the steering wheel (as well navigation screen) since the outer lettering would use only "Gavril" lettering from common textures? I'm also deciding if it is going to be manual (and sequential) only, or if anyone would like a DCT as limited production ones.
Making sure interior stuff fitment works (including interior skin, dashboard and door panels), next would be UV remapping the base GR-1 components and fit the headlight bulbs and taillights from eSBR, oh don't forget start working on the door handles.
Some new progress regarding on polishing up the appearance, engine bay is finished. Going to get some eSBR light parts and some ducts from ETK 800 plus a pair of fuel filler pipes from Bolide. Spoiler: New pics
Speaking of the taillights, where should the brake lights, indicators and reverse light be in terms of how high they are? (I put the taillight glass away so that you can visualize the lightbulbs better).
The body panels had undergone some degree of decimation (to reduce polycount in order to remap them on ETK K-series textures), so the shading is a bit weird I agree. I need to find a way to get this shading less weird once the parts (including lights) are finished (which is close).
