Update Speculation thread

Geeeez... Still no teasers for 0.38 ... I don't like that tbh ...

 

Something is telling me it's going to be like the 0.26 update with six month since 0.25. I hope I'm wrong.

 

0.25 was one of the two that got delayed, I forgot which the other was.... 0.26 came out at the normal time

While it is weird we haven't had a teaser yet I can't see them skipping the holiday update; it's too important of a release window to completely skip. I also think we would have had a delay announcement by now if that was the case. The worst case scenario I see would be the team tossing a relatively small content update out just to have something out there for the holiday season. Considering they have several gameplay/physics items that are deep WIP (Career/rally mode, tire physics, VR/graphics improvements, etc...) that honestly may be what happens. I'm sure the team would like to get a big update to one of those items out if they think there's a shot at it.

0.25 wasn't delayed, the devs stated beforehand that the update would take longer than usual

 

I think if there is no teaser tomorrow i think we will start to go What the hell even more, seeing that i dont think a DEC ( or any update ) has been this late.

I think by now a DEV would of posted hey guys, its not due anytime soon, if this was the case, BUT that could still be VERY possible,


however i got a feeling with a new car for 2026. I think this dec could be a remake/remaster witch would be great,

I am hopeing for some Moonhawk love, everyone ( mostly ) wants a sedan, possible wagon, and a ute would be ideal LOL
BUT also barstow coupe and Convertible would be good,

BUT could be hoper or the bus?

Just with only 4 weeks to wait till dec update ( they often do it before xmas ) witch leaves 4 teaser days ( 8 total if you add thursday;s in ) So could still be possible

EDIT.. I Also wonder if there is some kind of Breach due to the spam bots and or some MAJOR bugs,

Anyway i hope the Devs are happy and dont have burn out, we have awesome devs, WE can ALL agree on that

I think they are working on a 4 wheels car.

And at this moment, they tease us with a giant 8x8 like in snowrunner.

I don't think no mod approvals are indicative of a teaser. Doesn't take a whole load of people to prepare 1 teaser

 

Effectively we do not have mods approvals.

Ok, I now firmly believe something very serious is going on behind the scenes. And not in a good way. It's been a month and a half (edit: two months) since the 0.37.6 hotfix and it's like the BeamNG media suddenly got shut down.

 

We still got almost two hours until the end of the teaser release window - I wouldn't call it a major concern yet. It's just strange.

 

Maybe the devs are working on the new tire physics and they took longer then expected. Or there will be something big for the next update, or it will be delayed again (like 0.33)

 

Hear me out: devs are cooking something cool and they don't want to spoil it right away (as it took us all about three minutes to guess what all 0.37 teasers are about).

They've decided it's not worth the effort with the minimal return they get from those teasers. I'm pretty sure nobody who hadn't played Beam before got excited that we were finally getting a limo or a school truck.

This, plus the community is on a decline as well.

I highly doubt they'd just decide to stop posting teasers like that. I don't think teasers are actually that much effort for them, usually just a picture/short video of what they're currently working on, plus an intriguing caption.

It's true, the devs don't really get anything from posting the teasers, but they really just do care about the playerbase that much.

And what do you mean about the community being on a decline? People are more excited about this game than ever!

 

BeamNG community is in a great place from what I see. Maybe these forums don’t feel like the premier place but between discord and YouTube channels, the game has a strong and loyal following.
Right now, I’m playing a lot of BF6 and I want nothing to do with those people…my god.

 

how does a lack of teasers mean that the devs are working on somthing huge
to me it would mean the opposite as a teaser is supposed to give a hint but not spoil the whole content on somthing huge its easier to find somthing that wont spoil everything than it would be somthing small
i dont think the update will be too large this winter
