It would be hilarious if Burnside came back with a full-on EV For 2026. And very in-character with what the American car industry looks like
I doubt it would be an EV. The sales of EV’s have been plummeting and many EV’s were discontinued recently (such as the electric Acura ZDX and Nissan Ariya).
Little off topic, but I wish EVs were just done better (In terms of being cool) Like these thing are stupidly silent, or make shitty fake engine sounds when electric motors can make such awsome sounds. I want an electric motor that sounds like a (good quality, think deep spaceshippy noise) RC car. Thats cool. EVs have so many thing that could be good for car enthusiasts, but they remove all that good stuff, in favour of safty features that make the car less safe, or silent because its an “asthetic.” My parents RAV4 Hybrid sounds fucking awsome when its in reverse, it sounds so cyberpunk and cool. I want an ev that makes semi natural sounds from the motor. Thats what a car is about. These EVs have so much potential for the “cool factor” but they dont fuckibg do it.
We've had recent updates that didn't do much to WCA (0.29 (July 2023)). That update was right before the slew of improvements that WCA got from 0.30-0.35, so, we might get more of the same for 0.38. ETK DEC also already got a (light) remaster in 0.24.1. That map was designed around the old Driver Training campaign, which released in 0.7 (October 2016) - it didn't need to be anything more at the time. With how poorly WCA ran on release (0.11, November 2017), it made sense for ETK to be easy to run. I doubt that the devs will give it an expansion any time soon (if at all). The only time that an official map's been made significantly larger (outside of WCA) is Gridmap, when it got its V2 remaster in 0.23 (June 2021). That was practically a whole new map, so I don't know if that counts. However, I understand the desire to make ETK DEC bigger - I've even made a few concept designs of what an ETK map expansion could be over the years. Here's one of them, from August of 2020. I still think that it'd be a good idea, considering how few maps have been released since 0.15 and how much better PCs and the game are now. If we're not going to be getting a new European map any time soon, might as well make the smaller one larger. (Also, 0.27 (the Johnson Valley update) was released in December 2022 - 0.31 (the first of the T-Series remaster updates) was in December 2023.)
The LeGran's engines are all carb'd (or at least, run single-point fuel injection) - the Power-F.I. badge refers to the engines used in the Lansdale. EDIT: Nevermind, I was wrong - the LeGran also uses Power-F.I. on the sport-intake V6s. So, too, does the Wendover. However, even with the 3.3L V6, the lettering still reads "3800 Power F.I." on the intake. This is not the case with the V8, which gets "4400 V8 Power F.I." lettering on its sport intake.
They're probably still trying to understand what people want. Only recently has a car manufacturer, Hyundai, opened the doors to a whole enthusiast market for EVs.
Which would make even more sense considering Burnside is a premium brand of an American company. Spoiler: Realistically, however it'd be a Chinese hybrid
I would like they remade the feeling of the EVs's driving. Yes I know they did it in 0.27, but the one-pedal driving system shouldn't be present on the electric vehicles we have actually. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but the Cherrier, (base on peugeot cars with i-cockpit), if we refer to it realife counterpart, shouldn't have the one-pedal driving system, But a system that allows us to change the engine braking strength with the gear paddles behind the wheel. Same fo the eSBR4 who could have a shift patern like P-R-N-D/B. And in general, I would like to have a systeme to chage regenerative engine break without going in the radial menu, a possibility to change with buttons. And a last thing, the electric cars in BeamNG can benefit the regenerative break even when the battery is full, wich is physicaly impossible in real life, you cannot recharge in the battery is full like you cannot refill a water glass if it's already full of water.
Exactly, the remaster of the game was very weak compared to the H Series, which was remastered at the same time and had 38 new settings. --- Post updated --- Of the vehicles that have hope for a remaster in version 0.38, the I Series would be...
Exactly, maybe next time they'll add a new body, new paint jobs and interiors, and more body kits. And another car they're slowly remastering is the SBR4.
A V8 powered LeGran would be really cool! I would also love to see the Lansdale's turbocharged 4 cylinder engine becoming avaliable for the LeGran and the Wendover.
Personally I prefer to see Burnside go the way of other mid-tier luxury marques like DeSoto, but Buick is another IRL counterpart and their badge is on a couple 2023 MY electric SUVs in China
