This is the Gavril D-15 Short Bed. The wheel base has been shortened as well as the bed. This means a there is a higher Break-Over Angle and Departure Angle, good news for offroading. The regular beds Departure angle is about 32-33 degree's. The short beds Departure angle is about 41-42 degree's. Every combination part combination and preset work. If there are any bugs please tell me and I will try to fix it. Installation path: \Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods\vehicles Just place the zip file in the folder.
This thing is rad! I haven't noticed any bugs so far, but it is a bit squirly feeling at mid to high speeds. If you're interested in expanding the mod, an SUV version with the same wheelbase, kinda like a Bronco II or Dodge Raider, would be pretty sweet too.
The squirlyness is just a product of the shortened wheelbase. But a Bronco type truck would be pretty cool, I have the modeling skills for it but my jbeaming skill isn't there yet. Once I get better I will try to attempt such a truck.
This thing is nice. Good work man. I love the off-road D15 as it is and this just adds to the awesomeness. No issues here so far and putting at least a shell over the bed would be so cool. Thanks!
personally since it already looks like a late 80's chevy might as well go with a blazer instead of a bronco
I wanted to keep it as close to the original Roamer as possible just to make it easier on myself. Currently the only thing that is keeping me from release is the roamer body texture that I need to figure out how to fix properly.
