From Sun to Rain I can't continue working because mouse control for driving is not working properly since version 0.37 any more. I'll try to do some "dry" work, but as long as I can't drive on top of what I've created, the work hardly makes sense anymore. I've posted the problem here and hope for a solution or at least an answer from the developers... I'm very sorry, but I'm afraid all my future release plans for Bearbent's Homerange are on hold for now, which makes me very sad. Barbent Sad like a T could be.
If I speak of the upcoming release: Yes, I think so. The Homerange built in sky and fog can be changed independently and additional weather effects are switched off by default. So if you start Homerange with the CK's sky everything should work by default. But of course I cannot guarantee any compatibility with any additional environment mod. If in doubt, Homerange is a standalone map with its own environment and it's own control, also because I want to avoid dependencies and to have a lot of own environment effects. If I speak of the current repo version: Yes, definitely
Definitely. Apart from a few minor flaws, this is one hell of a map made with heart. I can only hope Barbent will come back to it soon.
Oh yeah! 0.37.6 fixed it for me. I first had to enjoy a few laps on the race track without the mouse control getting stuck . But in the meantime, I've also continued to work on the map a lot where driving was not essentially needed.
Great to hear, you can drive again in our beloved game, and also great you are back working on your beautiful map.
(The mouse is still sick . I wish her a speedy recovery.) Little by little, I've added newly designed PBR materials to the surfaces of all the asphalt roads. There are now various asphalt variants. The race track also received a new surface and "war paint", as well as new track variants. And of course, I continued to improve the overall design everywhere more and more, cleaned things up, added new locations, and created more road connections.
Mn Some people think the Earth is a sphere. This moon, however, is definitely a disc. I've implemented some celestial mechanics to create the impression of "infinite" distance, even though it's "only" 8 km away, so that it can still be rendered as an object. When traveling by plane, no matter how far, it maintains its direction and can therefore be used very well as a navigation aid. Since the moon isn't part of a fixed skybox, it can move along altitude angle the with the passage of time. I haven't yet implemented lunar phases. It's just meant as an eye candy. The design of the landscape and many other details is also progressing in big steps. .
Yes, the moon is able to cross the sky like the sun according to night time (game time). I also can adjust the azimuth angle if I like. I'll see if there are some nice viewing angles on the landscape for that.
