It is fixed, thank you. But I just now saw, that my gpu is not being used enough in BeamNG, maybe that's why im lagging so much, in 0.36 my GPU was always at a 100%, now it barely goes over 35%, I tried changing the priority in the task manager but no difference
Yesterday I was going mad with lots of errors and it got to a point I couldn´t even launch the game. Uninstalled, proceeded with a clean install and voila...everything got back to normal. Finally got a change to download the new update and I guess I got it right after the last hotfix so I didn’t have any crazy bugs. The new UI is great and definitely a step up but the only thing I would consider is having the option to not auto pause the game. Other than that, looks great, moves quick and organizes everything well. Didn’t try out the new controller scheme but after the prompt warning of the change, and I went back and reconfigured my Xbox controller to what it was before - literally took 3 minutes, no big deal. Might play around with modifiers later as it’s a smart move to give us the option. More graphics setting in-game is a welcome addition (and could explain why people are getting better/worse performance, in some instances). Maybe add an option for adjustable LOD, like in the now-defunct CK graphics mod. Have a lot more to see but a few things I’d like ironed out: -rider cam on the wentward bus is messed up for me and like turned 90 degrees or something -Lists, like wheel selection list, doesn’t go to the currently equipped wheel, so it makes the process way longer and cumbersome, been like that since .35 or .36 -Exhaust on the I series seems wonky with the pipes not sitting parallel - Consider adding tint to all vehicles - looks great on the grand marshal
Man this game has gotta be kidding with me, I try to record a video to show how laggy it is and it goes to 90 fps, then when I stop it goes to 40 again?? --- Post updated --- Also, when I record the cpu and gpu usage go up, and that makes my game run smoother, so BeamNG is not using what it should be using out of the hardware, and this only changed in this new update
[World Editor] Since the latest update, as soon as I change the config of an object, or move a specific node, the editor automatically keeps rebuilding collision. In other words: it rebuilds collision all the time. This is problematic as it heavily drains on the performance, and also widely useless since many changes of object settings or node movements have no impact on static collision (except for mesh roads). Could this be fixed? It makes it much more difficult to properly edit maps. Turns out it's the new minimap that is causing this. I tested it after seeing it mentioned in the known issues list.
Loving everything. The new UI is very intuitive, and the vehicle select customization is pretty nice, though I personally haven't done anything but zoom it in a bit. By far the absolute most annoying thing is the fact that the damn game/simulation pauses EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to open the menu. Now this would be one thing if it weren't for the fact that it also DOES NOT UNPAUSE when exiting the menu. I literally have the pause simulation button and all things related unbound entirely, and the menu button still pauses the game. To fix this, I have bound F1 to pause and Menu to escape, and I have to press Esc then F1 in the same motion to get the game not to be paused, but then only press Esc to leave the menu. Please add an option to disable this automatic pausing entirely. I've been playing this game for around 4.5 years now, and I've gotten used to and very much so liked the whole "live updates" feature of the vehicle config, which is now made rather useless by the whole thing pausing automatically. I've genuinely never been so frustrated at a change, since this one is completely out of the blue. Again, the auto pause thing itself makes sense, but if it were to be forced on, it should ONLY be forced on in career mode, not freeroam/singleplayer.
i dont know if this is a bug or feature, but its been confusing and irritating me. and i dont know how to fix it, or what to do whenever i pause the game to the main menu (through ESC), the physics pause, aka; like hitting ESC and J at the same time, even though i never clicked J. so whenever i exit from the menu, i have to click J to unpause the physics again, which is pretty irritating. this problem didnt exist in 0.36, which is odd to me, and, someone else is having this problem too. i really hope theres a fix for this, and i'd appreciate any advice thanks!

Turn off smooth motion if you have that on. it game me black screen and errors with the UI when moving menus in or our of dock. they are looking into it. Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate it and will pass it along on my page for anyone else who may have the problem. --- Post updated --- Im guessing that it is to make the menu have more performance. That was one of the main things they tackled this update. Pausing physics would free up some demand.
Linux support is broken now. I can't play now. When i restart game, i get black screen. I need to delete temp and settings folder EVERY time i run game. Most terrible update ever.
All of my mods and configs are gone now, wish I didn't have to update :/ Update: all of the mods suddenly showed back up after multiple times restarting the game but all of my vehicle configs are still gone
Noticed that all of the vehicles I spawn come with a VR plate design with BEAMNG as the text with no way to change it
ok so i was wondering why my audio stutters and cuts out every now and then like when there's a lot a sounds happening or when a car slam brakes past me and i know somethings going on because in other updates i did not have this at all, and i think its because now i cant set how many voices there are in audio. so i would love to get some help here, thanks!
