0.37 Discussion Thread

Man I feel like the game just got way laggier, I get 50 average on East Coast alone and with LOW graphics, I used to get 90 average and 60 with 5 AI cars, what is happening? Every update it just gets laggier to the point I feel like I'm gonna have to spend a lot of money on a basically whole new pc

yeah that's pretty much what's gonna happen, if you don't buy a brand new gaming PC, you'll just get more bugs and more lag/freeze

 

Why isn't the car showing up with your new interface? Restore the old interface so the cars can be seen in the new version. What mods should I remove?

Lol, i play this game for a decade now and never ever used left CTRL for the node grabber or even bothered changing the default keys for this. But i can confirm that it works aswell as ALTGR. And when i press left CTRL i can use the mousewheel to change the strength like it was before this update for ALTGR + Mousewheel. It should be noted that i use the european keyboard layout.

Speaking of controls, can i somehow display in BeamNG what keys i am currently pressing on my keyboard as well as on my controller? That way i could easy report a bug that i have for a long time now that somehow got flew under the radar here as i posted it in Discord.

 

it usually breaks the game even more depending on your instalation, I know that on linux you don't clear cache, you have to find solutions for things that are done automatically on windows, and sometimes things get badly mixed up

 

Well, aperently after a hot fix, for me everything is working well, my only gripe is that the road textures are a bit grainy now, apart from that, I love how much more optimized everything is, and I don't have to turn on a movie while a wait for everything to load.

 

Do you have the brake glow mod installed?

 

my game immediately crashes no matter if i start it normal, in vulkan or safe mode it just immediately crashes

Hello, I hope you're well.

The update is great and I'm happy with the new additions. However, I've noticed that when you're racing Drags, when you press the "Escape" button, you can no longer change your vehicle or modify it. But the ability to do that, for example to modify your vehicle little by little until you finally manage to beat the same opponent, adds a lot to the gameplay of Drag mode . It'd be cool to have it back again.

I've also noticed an anomaly: the brakes don't heat up visually (there's no orange/red colour on the brakes when braking - even with very heavy braking, or basic brakes at high speeds). Is there anything I need to do, or is this normal?

This update is ridiculous, I have a Ryzen 7 5700X and an RTX 5070, the game was running smooth, perfectly fine on 0.36, on 0.37 the FPS tanks, I'm only getting 35-40fps, both CPU and GPU are sitting at 30% usage? The new UI is laggy and buggy, If I for instance select the ETK 800 and want the TT sport variant, it doesn't let me choose it, i can only use the 190D and cannot be bother turning the whole car into a petrol variant. And the controller maps. Why fix something that isn't broken? Me personally I use the LB and RB buttons to shift up and down, I have a pop up on my screen every time I shift. After this, I tried loading mods, I only have around 50ish and the game crashes without explanation. I have adequate RAM, 32GB to be exact, I have 120GB left on my C drive too, Is this just me or this happening to anyone else too? Deeply unsatisfied.

Update is great; IMHO the limo would be a lot more impactful if most of us hadn't already fooled around with the Windsor limo.

Is it too much to ask to have a normal, decent, connecting highway on WCUSA with realistic AI paths? Just would be nice to do a highway loop without stopping or taking weird surface roads to get to Spearleaf.

 

I think this update wasn't the best, the UI is laggy, loading times have SHOT up and my PC with decent specs can't get more than 35fps when in 0.36 I used to get 70-80

 

I was getting 100-110 ON FULL RESOLUTION now I cannot even lunch the game

TIME BACK TO 0.36 ON STEAM PLEASE
