Is it just me or does the Miramar have no slot for a rear US licence plate? All I see is the EU plate slot under the back bumper, the ute version has no slots for rear licence plates at all. The front bumper has no option for a US plate in the middle.
This is our first time experiencing an update. My son opened the game and we saw the mods tab disabled. What do we do, and how do we know when the update is done and the mods have been updated? Do we just keep checking the website for the same mods and if updates were done to them? I guess he can still play the generic game as it came?
You can try re-enabling mods whenever, test if they don't break anything, if they do then disable and wait for updates of those mods, or a game hotfix might potentially fix some issues too
I using linux fedora and after some time (10-20 mins) with traffic, my game freezes and after reopen, black window until i delete temp folder
I'm currently using vulkan mode and for some reason some textures can't load up, can anyone help pls?
Couldn't recreate the bug in Safe mode, nor back in the normal game (with mods) after returning. Strange, though since it is "remedied" now (only occurred once) I suppose it wouldn't be a priority to fix. Thanks for the help!
Thankfully I read the entire thread before posting my message. I was going to mention that the new input system had a side-effect, which I'd like to know if it's intentional, known or just a glitch: I use ALT+MouseX- for brakes, ALT+MouseX+ for throttle and ALT+MouseY for clutch. Before the update, wherever I left my cursor, the axes stayed -- If I ALT+Mouse cursor to the bottom right of the screen, my throttle axis and clutch axis were both at 100% and kept being so if I let go of the combination, like "locking" the pedals into place. Now, after the update, if I let go of the combination, the axes return to 0% instantly. I actually wanted to reproduce this behavior for more realism, but now I just find it annoying, because I can't click on triggers without cutting off throttle for my car. My question is: is this an intended behavior or is it a glitch? Or it's just a side-effect of the new input system? Regardless of what it is, do you plan to look into it, or will it stay as-is? You can look for the 0.36 folder and, in it, go to settings/inputmaps and grab your mouse.diff and keyboard.diff files. Paste it to the new folder location and you're set. But, as my previous quote from Synsol mentions, you'll probably gonna have broken bindings due to the reworking of the system. I originally posted this on the Linux thread, but since it seems to be a general issue, I'm copy-pasting (RIP Larry Tesler, creator of copy-paste-cut) the issue here: Unrelated, I think I've found a bug that may affect the Windows version too: When arranging the UI Apps, it accounts for the bottom bar occupied space, and when we exit the editor, some Apps snap to the bottom of screen, becoming distant from the other apps. Screen shots to illustrate:
That's a bummer, I hope it'll be possible to import custom libraries to vehicle editor in the future updates (i.e. with a drop-down menu listing all available libraries)
Hi all. Great update! A lot of Burnside issues: The images in the showroom are showing weird suspension positioning. Some are tipped on the left front, some are dipped toward the left rear. The Custom & Drag are showing the 1954 Grille on a 1953 body The 1953 Special 274 description says 2-speed automatic, which is the right content, but it spawns as a three speed automatic:
Is there a way to spawn newly added performance groups of AI cars in freeroam? Yet I can only generate one for my custom AI missions, but I'm unsure if it's possible to do in Veh. Group Manager. Also, do these groups inluclude tweaked AI driving settings too? They handle the cars quite well
Hi devs! Thanks for the updates! I appreciate better performance, new minimap, new menu, new textures, new props and missions. They are pretty challenging TBH and that's a lot of fun! On the downside I'd like to mention that I can't start a new career, the game just freezes on loading, stops responding and system monitor shows that main game process consumes 15GB RAM plus side processes consume 5GB more. A few times it crashed and I've submitted the reports, so check the crash report inbox for more details for that) I play on Macbook Air M1 with Crossover 25.1.0. I know that it was not designed to work on Mac at all but I kinda got used to the fact it used to work in previous versions so it's a bit frustrating that it does not anymore. Honestly I've purchased Crossover license just to be able to play BeamNG and I would be grateful if I could enjoy the game fully again. Couple times the game crashed when I tried to play the truck cannon mission in Utah. Once it happened on trying to fire the second cannon and the second time it was when all the cannons had been used and I was just watching the truck rolling to the tunnel. Good thing the mission started working at all. In 0.36 it just wouldn't not start.
the image issues are normal, they're due to the vehicle thumbnails system. I've known two versions of this system, the current one is more focused on adapting to the vehicle, but it makes mods in general look way off compared to the vanilla cars. those two systems have spawn -> screenshot -> spawn next vehicle protocol, so how tilted is the vehicle, changes from time to time, there are other changing factors, like : -lights on/off -no vehicle -rear of the vehicle instead of the usual view -blured vehicles -wrong texture (it looks different in the picture than in game, like it's changing the vehicle color settings, not the color itself but other parameters) -wrong light reflections (not the same as in the showroom, before taking the picture, and definetly way off compared to the old system) -wrong glass textures (there are 4 "layers" existing, and one of them gets taken in the picture, randomly or not, there is the normal one, you see through the glass normally, the second one is that you see through the glass, but not through the glass the other side of the car, the third one is that you don't see through the glass, it's foggy white, but you can see small parts of the vehicle inside, like metal beams, and the last one is the same as the third, but you see nothing) this one was already there on the old system, prior to 0.32 or some update near that. -over/under extended suspensions
These are all vanilla with no mods. This wasn't the case in the previous vehicle loader screen, so some error has occurred with the new update
I also can't start a new career, the loading does end, the map loads, but no car spawns, no menu spawns, there's just the map sound, all i can do is use the basic UI to leave the career (it doesn't work for about an hour, it's not about loading time) I have a PC pretty much over the minimum specs, and I'm running the game on Arch Linux --- Post updated --- I think the new system is still under heavy development, or it should be, most of the problems I've encountered, the devs haven't, I imagine, but they still have a bit of technical issues, but it's nothing big, they'd have to remake their spawn system, or something big just to correct that problem that's almost unnoticeable
I think the nex system is still under heavy development, or it should be, most of the problems I've encountered, the devs haven't, I imagine, but they still have a bit of technical about your first message, why are you using a mouse to control your vehicle ? that's a real question, I'm curious about your last message (UI apps) it actually kinda happened before there was a lower bar on the screen, before the UI remaster, sometimes I placed my apps a certain way, and they'd get pulled down in game for no apparent reason. I don't know what it might have been, just an isolated little glitch, or maybe it can partially explain the issue with UI apps
