never seen that happen. do a standard cache clean and make sure you don't have the older 67 fender addon which is obsolete now
@MrX13415 , the paints do look a bit too metallic to be straight out of the factory, especially the U.S. ones. Also, I've noticed that the stock Beetles are a bit faster than they should be. I was curious if this is because aerodynamics are not modeled into the game correctly, because the Beetle's body irl acted like a giant handbrake against the wind.
I agree about the paints. Especially for the Herbie builds. @MrX13415 If it helps, back when Marcel (VertexStyle) was heading the mod, he and I talked at length about the different configurations of Herbie based on each movie, so if you want, I can help you go through and outline some of the changes I always make to each preset, along with the paint colors I use for them to be as accurate as possible. Also just wanted to ask, do you think the Herbie Fully Loaded street race look will ever be possible? Like with the wail tail and the intakes? Just curious. I don't think the mod "needs it," per se, but just had the thought and it'd be cool to see. I love what all you've done to this mod though. To see this entire thing evolve over 8+ years, and all the improvements you've made to it, I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much for keeping this mod alive and well. I feel lucky that despite Herbie being so niche, not only do we have this, but that this is one of, if not THE best mod ever made for Beam.
I'm thinking pre-63 stuff personally or like elephants' foot taillights or maybe even the late bumpers with inbuild indicators
Two things, in my opinion, the car sits just a tad too low compared to the real bug, an issue that was not present on the original 2018 mod. Next, I feel like the suspension should be a bit less stiff and instead softer, but that's just my 2 cents.
It would be hard to make (NOT BECAUSE there are barely any photos) but because it is a completely separate vehicle. The Porsche Type 12 has a completely different chassis, body, and the engine is a watercooled 5-cylinder radial engine. Seriously, think a bit.
Oh really didnt know it sorry --- Post updated --- I thought it was a prototype sorry didnt know thatv
Don't worry. There are a bunch of similar cars in the early days. Especially, since Porsche (the creator of the VW Beetle) designed similar vehicles for various Manufactures. They didn't build the first real Porsche until the late 1940s. No wonder some of them are mistaken for a Beetle.
A Kommandeurswagen, a lifted KDF-Wagen with chunky tires and 4 wheel drive, would be nice if a '30s beetle was added, but that was for Nazi officers, so...
