This mod is the only paid mod I have ever bought that I have not yet regretted purchasing. It really adds something unique to the game, as there's no in-game vehicle that feels similar to this. The one thing that's missing in my opinion are more engine options (and a facelift). So I've decided to hack my own 5-cylinder petrol engine together. I hope it's okay to share the jbeam for anyone who wants to enjoy some 5-cylinder fun as well. It's a mix of the V6R, 2.5 ITD (which unfortunately seems to use a 6-cylinder engine model), torque figures from the Lansdale and engine / exhaust sound from the Vivace I think it sounds and feels quite convincing (top speed is around 150 km/h, which, according to Wikipedia, is actually similar to real-life vehicles of the time, fuel efficiency appears to be worse than the V6R). It's certainly a lazy job. My intention was to have something temporary until someone else does a better job.
As a T4 facelift owner i love this mod, it's just missing couple of things like ground manual shifter, rear taillight clear turn signal (not whole taillight) and a facelift.
You can actually use the passenger variant as a cargo van too. You just need to get right of all the seats. Sadly, I don't think you can mount bigger cargo inside afterwards. I was actually quite disappointed at first that the windows/panels and tailgate/doors weren't fully interchangeable, like on the Gavril Scout.
True but you still have all the windows and such. I wanted to make something like the Hayosiko from My Summer Car.
What exactly is this, you might ask. Even when the front doors are broken off, whether by force or hinge breaker tool, the front doors follow behind like a rope is attached to the doors. Please tell me this isn't in the full version, I am testing this demo to see if it's worth the money
This is a Great Car, and absolutely worth the 4 Bucks. I constantly drive it, love the handling, lighting and the interactive Features. The model looks awesome, the Rims are cool too. Maybe a 4 Cylinder Diesel would be cool, like a 1.9TDI or in this case a 1.9ITD
Love the mod but i would like to see more customization for the 'cargo' stuff. Like choosing between glass or fillers and taking off the cabin seporator like the Gavril scout.
I love this mod so much, I have a T4 that I have taken apart a lot and the attention to detail is insane. I wanted to ask if in future updates you'd be introducing a syncro type 4wd system and the smaller, more common 1.9tdi engine. Also out of curiosity why did you choose not to use torsion bars on the front suspension? Is this because its difficult to make in beam? Any way love this mod so much actually the first mod I've paid for since I got BeamNG in 2013
I'm glad you noticed the details I honestly thought they would go unnoticed. Sadly I'm not planning to add any more engines, also 1.9 TDI only came as a swap, from the factory T4 only had a 1.9 TD. As for the torsion bar suspension, it was actually the main thing holding me back from releasing the mod. Unfortunately, I'm not the best when it comes to JBeaming suspension, so going with a simpler solution ended up being more effective and quicker lol
