That is true - hopefully, we also get a turbocharger for the 4.1L inline-six. That would easily make it a solid alternative to the V8s.

I think what's actually happening is that this is a professional-level troll by the devs after being told for years that people aren't interested in seeing anything other than cars or maps. This post from Diamondback mentions that someone called his AWD and ESC work "kinda boring". And honestly, I am here for floating my Wydra around in humongous balls bubbles and bouncing cars off of trampolines.

 

I'm hoping they explain the reasoning and creative process behind these shitpost teasers in the devblog tbh

 

I think what the Sunburst bounced up from on the previous teaser was one of these bubbles, because they obviously have good bouncy properties.

Say a modern 4.0 non-Barra I6 in a modern Gavril Muscle Car and, when turbocharged, going head-on against a modern NA, Quad-Cam, Quad-Valve V8!! Say a 5.0 liter non-Coyote, as the successor to the SOHC 5.5 V8 running around since 1986!!
We're missing modern gasoline I6s to be larger than 3 liters, after all, and Gavril is used to making smaller and more powerful engines than the equivalent Bruckell ones (at least when it comes to V8s, since the proposed 4.0 I6 is larger than the 3.5 V6 of the modern Bruckell models)!
