Re: Desert Highway UPDATED 2/7 - 0.3.7.6 Support! Awesome. So, whats in the future plans for this map?
Re: Desert Highway UPDATED 2/7 - 0.3.7.6 Support! Great job! I'm thankful I can use this with the new Sunburst additions. Also, your signature is amazing
Re: Desert Highway UPDATED 2/7 - 0.3.7.6 Support! A flat bit from beginning to end, and hopefully getting some cacti on it
Re: Desert Highway UPDATED 2/7 - 0.3.7.6 Support! This map is awesome perfect for top speed testing / crashing cars! 9/10! It would be even more awesome with power lines running down a side of the road! Edit: Holy crap a 10 minute download for me! Daaang!
Re: Desert Highway UPDATED 2/7 - 0.3.7.6 Support! I think I'll try that when I work on it again (maybe next weekend). If it hangs on the FPS too much, they're not staying. I'll work on it tomorrow if I have a snow day ^^
Re: Desert Highway UPDATED 2/7 - 0.3.7.6 Support! I think we should see who can post the most bad ass screenshot from this map.
Re: Desert Highway UPDATED 2/7 - 0.3.7.6 Support! You use a heightmap for this map? if so from where? I believe a general T3D new level can do this size of a map. Now that my rig is cleaned up I'll be downloading tonight.
Re: Desert Highway UPDATED 2/7 - 0.3.7.6 Support! Heightmap came from Miura and was completely blank.
Re: Desert Highway UPDATED 2/7 - 0.3.7.6 Support! As a quick suggestion: consider this for a road. That's Interstate 15 somewhere in California.
Re: Desert Highway UPDATED 2/7 - 0.3.7.6 Support! It literally took me 10 minutes at 90mph to cross this beast diagonally. I can't even imagine doing a map this big...my lifespan isn't long enough.
Re: Desert Highway UPDATED 2/7 - 0.3.7.6 Support! No advertising intended, but holy ****... I got my D-15 Racing Truck up to 300km/h.. faster than the Nürburgring [about 280km/h]... to the point that the spoiler was gerating downforce capable of shooting the front up into the air every now and agian...0.0 [h=3][/h]
Re: Desert Highway UPDATED 2/7 - 0.3.7.6 Support! Someone needs to design a sports car where it has negative lift to help the handling. In the game. Via under-body aerodynamics. I have noticed the tires still kinda sink under the pavement but off road is great.
Re: Desert Highway UPDATED 2/7 - 0.3.7.6 Support! Loving this terrain. But is anyone else getting an unusually high amount of blinky graphics in this one?
Re: Desert Highway UPDATED 2/7 - 0.3.7.6 Support! Could be your graphics card...AMD? HYPE: (imported from here) I've still got lots of work to do, don't expect the entire map to be littered with these, just certain parts. Also, some small brush vegetation is a go (as seen in the photo)! No cacti though, I don't know how/may not want to implement new, higher poly models. - - - Updated - - - Version 5 will take a while; doing powerlines is very tedious plus I may wait for my fiberoptic to be set up so I can get a speedy upload. - - - Updated - - - Lots and lots of work done today, I've finished what I wanted to get done for the powerlines and I've added some goodies in there Update maybe tomorrow! - - - Updated - - - ================ 2/25/15 Version 5.0 Added that (near) perfect straight bit I was talking about (it's past the airport on the airport road). It's got some bumps as it's made to be a public "road" Powerlines and a mock power station! Vegetation! Mostly small brush and some rocks. Couple of other prop goodies. Some bug fixes (floating vegetation, smoothing, etc.) Known bugs: Tyres still clip through the decal roads, still no fix. Lag when looking back to where the spawn location is when you're more than half way across the map. (Might be the river) Let me know of any bugs as always! DL @ OP
