I should probably apply a mild adhesive to the felt however, it was real bitch when it came to putting the seat back in, it kept moving around. Would anyone know whether gluing these down makes them more effective or not?

I'm shocked that it only has that much rust, here it would basically be only rust and zero good metal. Our Ranger has only done 16,000 miles in NH and the bottom is still completely rusted out

Oh don't worry, it more than makes up for that with its severe structural rot elsewhere (C pillars, lower pillar rust in the firewall area, etc) :D But yeah there were absolutely no holes anywhere beyond the ones by the drivers feet. Pretty good for 400,000+ miles

Well, I crashed my fathers BMW E91 today. I really cried after the crash because I was very sad about the beautiful car. It was a very nice car with a lot of memories attachrd to it. Luckily the airbag only scratched my arm a little bit and no one was hurt

It isn't my car, but I've been helping a friend replace the transmission in his El Camino. He blew the 4 speed Saginaw a couple weeks ago so he went and got himself a proper Muncie 4 speed. A couple days ago he and another friend got the Saginaw out when I wasn't there. However, today we got the new transmission bolted in, minus the linkages which we'll be doing next week. This is one of the first times I've ever worked on a car so I'm pretty stoked.

Today I took out the Radio from my '13 Nissan Micra.
The radio was working fine but the radio volume control dial was broken (no big deal, I use the steering wheel controls), and the AUX connection has failed recently. So radio stations are my sole source of music for a while now.
After much deliberations and contrasting advice from friends, I have decided to try and fix the soldering on the AUX instead of buying an aftermarket touchscreen radio with Bluetooth and other modern features. The main reason is since I mostly drive alone, I like to be able to press buttons without looking at them (eyes on the road always!). I can't do that with a touchscreen because there are no buttons. I also wanted to keep the steering wheel volume controls and I am not quite sure if they would work with a different radio, because I don't know how they connect to the amp, and I never tried to fix a car radio before, all I know is that it can be an issue on some radios. Fixing the AUX also seemed like the simplest way to go. Once it's complete I'll update if everything went fine.

BTW, I found out that the brackets mounting the radio in place were held by only 3 screws. I have a suspicion it's Nissan's assembly line fault and not some previous mechanic, it doesn't look like it was ever taken apart before. I hope critical parts have better QC lol

Ouch, too bad its the red spectrum, as that's one of if not the easiest colour for the human eye to process. Hopefully it shouldn't require any surgery!

Well at least in a worst case scenario it should not be a continually worsening situation. If you were like me then you really shouldn't be driving at all :D

I’m 6 ft and we added vanspeed van capsules on our transit trail and I can sleep sideways just fine next to my wife. My only issue with the capsules is is that we go down some pretty narrow shrubby roads and already scratch the crap out of the paint here and there...which would mean the capsules would really be getting scratched...but that is our situation ;)
