from what i heard, they removed tix because you could turn them into robux, and you cant just have an offical way to get free robux also there are some things that uhh werent really better with old roblox either
their moderation is still bad. I joined back in 2018 and you couldn’t even say numbers. Now it’s the complete opposite where they’re just letting anyone do anything, at least from what I’ve heard.

The real reason tix was removed was because people abused the currency. For example, they used exploits that could give them more Tix (which almost destroyed the Roblox economy) so a month before it got removed, they made an announcement saying Tix would get removed, but there would be an event called "Tixapalooza". About a month later after the announcement, on April 14, 2016, Tix was removed from Roblox (also I think you could turn Tix into Robux but idk if that's true or not) --- Post updated --- To make matters worse, when the Roblox Hatch event happened back in July, a couple days before it started, they invited a condo creator (called TheOfficiaITeddy) to participate (the event would include 1000 games). They eventually possibly kicked him out and terminated him (thanks to dudes like KreekCraft). But then the same day or next day after Teddy got terminated, Roblox said they wanted to bring his games back with "better" safety. At this point, it's safe to say that Roblox is going off the hook.
Time to clarify some things here: - I don't think Roblox had a different engine. Might be the same one but has been updated and changed who knows? - The "metaverse" concept Roblox was planning to do was scrapped two years ago confirmed by an article from some news website called "TheDrum" - Roblox scam games have existed for years so that's not surprising. Also online dating and condo games have existed for years as well - New and old Roblox whatsoever is not "perfect". I get the old Roblox was when the gaming platform was more in touch with the community, but they all had faults
ROBLOX ran on the OGRE engine until 2014, when they made their own engine oh, thank you! I was getting scared that ROBLOX might rebrand to something else if they did this yes, I know. I have seen them everywhere all I can think of is that old ROBLOX didn't have private servers, and that modern ROBLOX doesn't have the option to play solo
