I'm glad this mod was revived and seeing it co-exist with the current updates. By the way, I have a suggestion: Would it be possible to update the light textures to the updated materials and PBR format? As well as toning down the light brightness. Cheers!
I had an update in the works for this about a month or 2 ago that I ended up abandoning and never posting and I decided to do some more stuff with it today and get it posted. Made the cab body rear glass a bit more visible, Fixed a slot naming issue related to the running boards, Modified Some configurations, Added 2 new oldstyle configurations Fixed a conflict with the open front differential, (As I said this update was abandoned about a month or 2 ago and I picked it up again on the day of posting this so I may not be remembering everything that's been changed). Download here. It might be fixable using a workaround I found when I was doing the Grand-Marshal Coupé but the mod author of that mod seems to be wanting to update it themselves so I think they should be the one who updates it as they are the mods author. I am also aware of that, sadly though the original wheels seem to have been removed from the game so I had to use the most suiting ones I could find. Noted, thanks, ill keep this in mind for when/if I update this again. shouldn't be too difficult to fix. Also noted, thanks, ill keep this in mind for when/if I update this again. hoping it shouldn't be too difficult to fix. I don't think due to the way the jbeams set up that's possible without me having to reupload an edited version of it which I don't really want to do due me having to reach out for permission from someone who I don't believe is online often anymore. I did try this but because this mod seems to be using lua for the lightbar code (seems to have been made before lightbars were implemented like they are now) I'm not sure how to make it work with current lightbar and siren code without the lightbar breaking. The joys of working with 7+ year old mods. Most of the lights (apart from the oldstyle taillights) are already pbr due to them being straight from the H-Series, I also have no idea how the smooth lighting system (or basically anything added in the last 4 years thinking of it) works, I might try and port it over from when they update the H-Series with smooth lights but i can't promise anything. lol yeah it really needs turning down, it is on my noted list of things to keep in mind for the future. Never attempted it before so I have no idea what I'm doing, still, its just some lights, how hard can it be? Famous last words. --- Post updated --- Just uploaded another file to fix an issue with the oldstyle gauges conflicting with the Barstow, redownload the file on the first post for the update. Download here.
Thanks for the offer but I managed to find out how to dim the lights by messing with the "flareScale" parameter in the lights files, I'll keep in mind reaching out in the future if I get stuck with something though. Updated 8/6/2025: Turned the "flareScale" of some/or most lights down to make them appear less bright, Fixed a glowmap issue from the previous update causing the gauges not to light up, (Hopefully) fixed some part conflicts with Nekkit's 1986-1987 Gavril H-Series mod, Fixed an issue that may or may not have been in other versions where a leftover old roof rack file in the mod was causing the H-Series roof to spawn as a roof rack. Fixed another slot naming issue related to the runningboards, Maybe some more stuff that I cant remember. Had a look into this but I'm not entirely sure what's causing it, I couldn't find any conflicting material maps in that mod that would explain it, all I could find is that that mod seems to have unneeded H-Series models in the .DAE file so they may be the issue, but I don't really know unfortunately.
Wow --- Post updated --- hey can you fix this the light is currently on from the front but i cant see it from the back
also is it possible to fix the h35 and h45 vansters? (1) WIP Beta released - H35 and H45 Vansters | BeamNG
@a plane guy I have some updated light models if you want to implement them into this mod. In my opinion these look properly refreshed and polished. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers! P.S I won't post any files without official confirmation to do so.
Yeah I can definitely implement these into the mod, they look amazing! I have an update in the works at the moment and I could implement them into that (with credits), they look so much better than the current lights it uses. Spoiler: Current upcoming update content/changes for those wondering The steel wheels that this mod had have been re-implemented, Added an input action to open the rear and side doors, Modified some configs, Fixed some more slot naming issues with the running boards to make them work with the ambulance body, the side tube running boards now are also usable again, Fixed light bars lights being 1 way visible./SPOILER]
Here it is @a plane guy, Cheers! These also come with Updated Front and Rear Classic Bumpers with better chrome materials. As well as some duplicate parts for the vanilla H-Series.
I tried out the files, great work! Couple of questions though, do the vanilla H-Series parts work for you? For me the bodies either have a load of the parts fall off or the entire thing explodes, I’m not too sure if they are useable or not, other thing was when i equip your modded fascia for some reason it makes 2 nodes connected by massive collision triangles attaching to the rear doors that stretch towards the lights called (iirc) he1r and he1l. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? I looked through your files and found nothing that could cause it, has me pretty stumped. They’re causing issues with the opening door mechanism as the triangles wave the doors around and catch on things, great work though, the lights look awesome
The vanilla H-Series uses a different set of attachment beams which may explain why some parts like the doors tend to fall off. As for the nodes, those could be fixed, probably has to do with the headlights. Cheers!
Looks very nice guys! Great to see someone picked it up. I did had the intention to update my mods to the latest standards, but got stuck most of due to the new materials and the amount of updates making my mods either outdated or obsolete. And having no spare time at all anymore.
