Haven't read everything, but why does the luggage rack fall off so easily? I upgraded the engine, did a burnout, and it fell TF off.
Probably because the mod is ancient (in beamng terms) and the creator has long since left the forums.
At one point (2023 I think) he was making a completely new one and it looked pretty good. Don't know what happened to that
he pretty much dissapeared off the forums along with his 40000 mods he was working on. dont know if he died, lost access, gave up or what
Mostly just gave up. Felt like I was dead, setting a deadline on the C2 C3 Corvette project was a really bad idea, and I was working on way too much stuff for it to actually be fun or enjoyable. I still have it, just haven't done anything with it in like 2 or 3 years. I had cancelled it in favor of just doing a real C2 C3 Corvette project, which I still intend to work on in the coming weeks... Here, I have attached the remake below. It's messy, it has issues, it's super unfinished in several places, but even in its current state I feel some of you may still enjoy it. I cancelled it due to issues that came up in the initial private beta testing that I felt would necessitate an entire redo of the project (Which is why I started the C2 C3 Corvette project before I left), but that may have been an overreaction on my part to some suggestions made on how to fix a few things that were causing issues in collisions. Be warned It doesn't have opening doors and it lacks anything newer than late 2022/early 2023 since that's when I last did any work on this... Some stuff may also be slightly outdated aswell. For wheel users, turn down the Force Feedback setting in the tuning menu as low as it will go or you will experience some major clipping issues. You also don't need to remove the old Vendetta mod or anything like that, these are 2 separate vehicles internally I'm not planing on finishing this thing regardless but I figured it's good enough as-is to dump on the forums and let you all try it out. Please do not re-upload to other sites.
i did not expect to see you again. good to hear youre not dead though. --- Post updated --- for being unfinished it still looks pretty decent albeit rough
Sadly the Task Force truck never got finished. Though it was quite close before I took my hiatus there in 2023. I want to finish it, though outside of the engine models and interior what's left is also mostly the JBeam. The existing one isn't perfect and I would need to do some major work on the front suspension since the steering is way off center and quite vague even though it shouldn't be. And given I haven't JBeamed anything either in 2 years, I'm gonna need to find some warmup projects there too before I start diving back into everything. For the foreseeable future though I'm just gonna be working on my modeling skills, unfortunately a 2 year hiatus also didn't help in that department and I still need to do some more work with the C2 and C3 shells on the Corvette project, which alongside another vehicle project will have to suffice for a modeling warmup. Speaking of said unnamed vehicle project warmup, I would keep an eye on the Development Screens thread I'm thinking of showcasing something cool there soon
i realy liek the rework of this mod, but it has some texture problems, mind fixing or is it not important rn?
the return of the king? --- Post updated --- im thinking its a client side thing, i have some issues but they dont appear any drivers pictures of anything
Yeah I just discovered that one... oops I'm gonna need to upload a patch, seems like there's more going on here... I'll get that up asap. --- Post updated --- Unpack the mod, replace the main.materials.json file with this one then restart BeamNG (Make sure to also clear your cache too). You will need to rename the file when it's downloaded, make sure the file name is "main.materials.json" instead of "mainmaterials.json" before moving it. Also, materials don't properly update while the game is running so you will need to restart the game to ensure everything worked correctly. You may need to delete an extra "vendetta" folder where user configs usually get stored (0.36/vehicles/vendetta) since it's possible that an additional materials.json file may have been created for the missing materials in question which will cause issues.
