low fps after the new update

i have normally 60-120 fps but since the new update ive not been past 30,is this problem only for me or for everyone

 

Yeah thats not cool. Playing at lower than what you used in the previous version when you update is really dissapointing but you could always tune the settings and try new stuff

 

Try using safe mode, this should open a version that doesn't have any settings changed, if it's fine there it means that some setting, mod or something you have broke the game if so reset your settings and clear cache

 

try adjusting the graphics

 

I lost 50%+ of the fps with the 0.36 update. Safe mode and with mods gives the same result. Lowering graphics doesn't give any significant boost.

Luckily my game is still playable but would be nice to get those lost frames back.

 

What GPU do you have? Is it an old one or something? Maybe you switched from vulkan to dx11?

 

RTX 4070 and no, didn't switch from Vulcan to dx11. Although the loss happened in both, but can't remember how much it was in dx11 as I use Vulcan and concentrated on that.
Berore the update I had 70fps +- and now I can hold barely 30fps on Ultra settings. Changing to high gives only few fps more.

 

are you using detailed mirrors before and after the update? those tank fps (for my aging 5500xt it makes the game go from 55ish to low 40s)

 

Yeah, I think I've been using detailed mirrors and still am. I'll test it on and off later tonight. Thanks for the tip.

 

No effect with detailed mirror on or off.

It's really weird. What ever I change in settings it has very little effect, only few fps gain.

 

can you try if safe mod also has the same performance issues? i dont remember if i told you to try it

 

I've tried safe mode, normal mode with no mods active and normal mode with all mods active. Tried with two different nvidia drivers. Have done deep cache clean from the launcher and file integrity check in Steam. All these gives essentially the same result, my fps has dropped from 70+ to 30+ compared to version 0.35..
