Can you please help us testing the new techdemo? Are the limitations working and so forth? http://www.beamng.com/techdemo/BeamNG-Techdemo-v2.zip
Hello tdev I can get nlabs to load in the techdemo just by putting it in levels. will be back with more(if there is more) Hatch in ECA techV2 I tryed to install mods and official cars no luck game just crashes to desktop with no error. so thats good
Nice to see the TechDemo being updated! Tried it and found interesting things : 1. When you click the button "Spawn new" on the right side menu, it spawns another vehicle, but it's frozen, and you can go through it. Also the camera goes to Free Cam mode when you switch to other cars with the Tab key. Those spawned cars have a small bounding box, just to say : Note those spawned cars have broken glass : 2. When I tried to change or remove any parts, the game closes. No bug report window, no warning, no error, nothing. 3. Some Race, Rally parts are still available on the part list. 4. Found a weird bug with the Slow Motion : - Start game, choose level - Go in the right side panel and play with the slow motion parameter - Set the slow motion with Alt + Arrow Keys - Press R to respawn The Slow Motion value strangely gets changed (random?) 5. While in the Main Menu, Alt-tabbing, waiting a few minutes, going back to the game makes the UI freeze. Background is black. 6. There are some files which belong to the other official cars in "Vehicles" > "Common" folder.
i believe this is intended, because in the first techdemo they didn't want people to have the ability to spawn a working car, so instead the game only loads the mesh, i'd imagine that'd be one thing they do the same in the new techdemo, since the point of the techdemo is making sure beamng works on your pc, and gets performance that you're ok with
The only thing that I noticed was, that it crashes when you try exiting it, but other then that it's good go.
Little bit of a bump, however taking the UI from the github repo and placing it in the html folder allows the user to use all the alpha version features, apps, gravity etc, unless you guys don't mind people doing that, heh
