why do there so many american things in beamng, i don't have problem with that but: there only 9 european car ( and don't forget europe is a whole continent not a country ) and for only america there 18 car ( and for japan there 11 car ) --- Post updated --- and there 10 usa map (according to community) and 2 map in europe (surprinsingly hirochi raceway is in usa)
Probably because the game primarily takes place in the US, where European cars (for the past few decades) have been less common than Japanese cars. This is definitely the case for more basic brands, like FIAT (which left the US in 1983, before returning in 2011 and leaving again in 2020 (and returning again in 2024 with the 500e)) and Peugeot/Citroen (which left in 1991 and 1974, respectively). VW's pretty much the only non-premium Euro car brand to have a consistent footprint in the US - trying to get cars re-certified for our market is just not worth it, considering how many people still think Euro cars are less reliable. Thankfully, this could be alleviated somewhat with EUDM versions of the US/Japanese cars (like what happened with the Lansdale), but yeah, I hope the next new vehicle is something European.
i dont know about you guys but i have a feeling theyre gonna add a sigma packgod humbled phonk (mangos) mode next update
Does anyone remember the video this development image of WCUSA came from? I remember it was a stage conference one of the beamng devs were talking on about the map and game limitations back in like 2015 i believe?
That's awesome but I doubt they'd still be working off of that... Also Krallopian made it pretty clear that expanding the map to be bigger is not currently on the cards unfortunately.
This new tool lowers or heightens the terrain based on the mesh and the position and smooths out the edges around it. Before this we would have to use 3 different tools to get these results (Align with mesh (up and down) and then smooth tool). It doesn't automaticly terraform when you make or edit a meshroad, you have to use the tool, select the borders, and click a buttom. I don't think live one would work, where if you edit the meshroad it makes changes instantly, as the tool can take a couple of seconds based on how big the mesh road is.
Thanks for the information, that was something that I really hated and now there's a better way, awesome to see.
Its less about asking about its current status and more about trying to find the original video It was posted in here way back and i dont have the link anymore
