FORD MONDEO MK1 AND MK2 LIFTBACK/COMBI Hey guys, because one mod for mondeo is a few years old and wasn't nicely done I plan to create a continuation of this mod but with additional versions. Mondeo MK1 will be created in Combi and Liftback body (no sedan planned for now), similarly for MK2. not to be pessimistic, but isn't this too much for your first mod? (i may be wrong, this may not be your first mod) if it is, try doing something easier good luck with developing!

Is this 2 entire generations? Mk 1 was March 1993 to October 2000 (with a heavy facelift October 1996), Mk 2 was October 2000 to June 2007.
I agree with you on this one. The numbering confuses me as well. Like is this a MK2 or a MK3? Google conflicts too.
That's a Mk 2, a product cycle was 6+ years, not 3+ (1993~1996) which was a major facelift, same wheelbase, same floorpan as 1993. 2001MY was to beat the 1997 Passat which upped the quality game.
It's a second generation Mondeo, but it's a Mark III. The first gen cars are split into Marks I and II, II being an extensive facelift.
It seems to be common practice for European (especially UK) car makers back in the day. For example , the original Mini (1959-2000) , Mk1 is 59-67 , Mk2 is 67-70 , Mk3 69-76.....and so on , until Mk7 from 96-00. than BMW unplug the model and released the New Mini in 2001. Or Austin Allegro (1973-1982) , the original Allegro (73-75) , the Allegro 2(75-79 , the 1st facelift , different grille) , and the Allegro 3 (79-82 , the 2nd facelift) Or Rover SD1 (1976-1986) , split into Series 1 (76-82) , and Series 2 (82-86) Not mention Land Rover (1948-1985) Series I , II , IIA , IIB , III , and if you willing to count those as the same , the later 90/110 and Defender (1983-2016).
