There's definitely room but I have 0 experience with sounds. I cam look into reusing sounds from other mods maybe. Do you know any good sounding V12 mods? I don't have an estimate, as mentioned before I'm restarting my payed job next week so updates will probably be slower. The mod will definitely be on the repo available for free. No pay walls here.
There are V12 sounds in the game files: "V12_engine" and "V12_exhaust" They're fairly old and date back to 2019 (whenever they first started introducing dual channel soundConfigs) so it is likely that it will need some soundConfig work/combination with a different engine/exhaust sound.
I agree. A V10 with twin turbskys should make enough power while also fitting mostly behind the front strut towers. A V12 would be cool but I don't think it would fit the lore of this car.
yes --- Post updated --- I couldn’t even tell the difference till I zoomed in super close but now I think even 6cm back greatly improved the look . On a different note, are you planning a different interior? Will you make it more similar to a real Alfa in styling?
I will use the same approach for the interior as I did for the exterior, trying to do the minimal number of changes that would make sense irl. I think the first release will focus on the exterior with just Scintilla seats a custom steering wheel, again based on the Scintilla one but round. On another note, this week had me back working full time so I had zero time working on this mod. Unfortunately next week is even worse as I have some other things to sort out besides my job. I'll be back after that with more mod updates.
It's on hold for now as my day job is taking all of my time. I'll be out of work after the 12th of June and I will resume working on this then.
A quick update. I've been intermittently working on the Baionetta this week. I'm filling the backside of parts, fixing UVs, rethinking parts to allow the maximum numbers of possible combinations. It's tedious but I'd rather have this done beforehand and work with the best possible dae file when exporting to the game for the first time. This will be sometime next week.
i still think the design of the front is pretty iffy, your bodylines arent really sharp and everything is so smooth compared to the real life guilia, theres also alot of flat space in the front fascia compared to the guilia
I appreciate the feedback. As I've mentioned before, this car is inspired by the real life Giulia but it's actually just a Bastion redesign. There are some self imposed limitations meant to mirror the usual limitations in the real world, stuff like re-using the Bastion headlights which are small relative to the size of the car when compared to the Giulia. Could I have done it better even with these limitations? Probably. Will I change it now? No. Part because it's too much of a hassle to redo anything at this point part of it it's because I'm role-playing a Italian designer who doesn't appreciate design by committee
