This is a place to ask hardware questions (like why your GeForce 2 gets poor FPS), get answers, and talk about all kinds of PC stuff.

    Rules:
    1. Only PC-related posts.
    2. No flaming. It's fine to state your opinion, but don't do it in a way that leads to massive shitstorms and gets people banned.

You should add (or why your Pentium III get's poor FPS) like the thread in RoR.

Most aftermarket cards come with slightly increased clock speeds over the reference card. Of course, it won't do much and you can overclock it further to improve performance.

    None.
The GT 430 is a 4 year old graphics card designed for general computing. It can't run games.

for this day and age thats generally true, but its not as older systems use AGP based graphics cards instead of PCI-E, and to add to that there are occassionally PCI graphics cards, Sorry just had to say it :)

I know, but nobody's going to use a 12 year old GPU.

I've seen weirder stuff then that :), but sometimes clarification can help the situation, as not everyone has PCI-E based graphics solutions, while unlikely that someone has an AGP based gpu, its still possible enough

Ah, but PC-related post. loopholes, loopholes.

Also, Beam is a memory hog.

AGP disappeared by 2005, it's useless information. Today, any graphics card you would want to use works with every motherboard you would want to use.

wouldnt say useless, as the possibility of people using the agp solution is still there, sorry if I'm cluttering the thread, but specifics may help cause less confusion if someone is actually using something that old in the first place, I'll stop now :)

Has any one seen any problems when overclocking a Fx 8320-E? the reason Its an E version is that micro center wouldn't let me return it after being in my system for 1 week. i have gotten it to 3.5 ghz and once at 4.2 ghz but it won't run stable for more than a 2 weeks.
