on the etk 800 and i think k as well, the rear springs deform wrong and they havent fixed it for so many years. you can even see it in the gameplay trailer they put out recently lol

 

I’m gonna get fried for that but etk refresh was overall a bit underwhelming and didn’t quite bring those cars to the quality level established by other newish official content.

I think that after this potential Sunburst update, they should focus more on classic cars. That would be really annoying if after they added the Nine, they just forgot about remastering all the other old cars, like the Burnside and Bluebuck.

 

Hoping that all the old lights get the lovely fade in and out effects that the Nine introduced and now a lot of mods are making use of. I can't see any reason why a good majority of the vanilla cars wouldn't get that in the next major update. It's one of those small details that will go a long way in making the game much more visually appealing. Shame that we have all these lights and stuff though but night is still terrible. I can't think of the last time I even set the time of day to night.

 

A Boxer-4 sounds the same as a regular I4 when you put equal length headers to it.
A regular I4 sounds like a Boxer-4 when you put a cross-plane crankshaft or unequal length headers or true quads (else known as Zoomies).
A dude put true quads on his Nissan Sentra and it sounded exactly like that!
Not to mention that a Honda V-Tec I4 with UEL1320s sounds like an Impreza with unequal length headers!

The current rumbly F4 sounds are very nice as they are but ok, an equal length headers sound would be ok for the SBR4 (the 2.5 at least), since it looks like it already has such a design for its headers. The existing rumbly (and slightly NASCARy) sound of the 2.5 F4 could be used for the Piccolina applications (both NA and turbocharged), in which the Stage 1 and 2 single turbochargers are mounted offset.
The SBR4 with the 2.0 and the Piccolina applications with the 2.0 are fine as they are with their unique 2.0 F4 sound.

3. Reworked police configs similar to the drift config updates with redesigned police liveries for Belasco (i feel like they're quite generic) added Firwood liveries for the car that dont have them
4. Reworked police behavior (bc we all alredy complained that they're not the brightest nor are they fun to go up against)
5. that the sirens change the audio like in nfs bc listening to the same loop all the time drives me crazy

In Jimmy Broadbents latest vid a dev said that theyd moved the barriers on the italy rally map.
He/she also responded a comment about someone wanting a shitty exhaust, with that they got something suitable coming.

 

The 200BX got a new """shitty""" exhaust sound in the remaster, maybe they'll adapt it to other cars like the Pessima (or the Sunburst)?

On the BeamNG reddit, stenyak (BeamNG dev) posted some information about the Covet getting some rally updates:

It seems like some older rally variants of vehicles will be getting some updates. Mostly just appears to be some handling/tuning updates to make them drive better. The only vehicle stenyak confirmed is the Covet, but we can assume that maybe a couple of other rally configs will be getting some updates as well.

I'm not too knowledgeable on all the different rally classes and groups, but it could be possible that we get multiple rally configurations for each vehicle with different classifications, like different engines, different amounts of power, drivetrain layouts, etc. The only proper class we have in game is the 390 GT Group 4 rally configs for the Bolide while the rest of the vehicles only have the generic "Rally - Gravel" config. We also know that the Sunburst will most likely get a remaster, which will also possibly contain several rally focused configurations.

 

I guess I hadn't really made the connection that we are most likely getting a more rally-themed update and well the sunburst would be a perfect match because of Subaru things

 

I hope the Sunburst remastering will do something about the discrepancy between the look and the lore year.
In the lore, the model year is 2009-2014, but the car is heavily inspired by the 2002-2007 Impreza GDB, which makes it look old-fashioned in relation to the year. Personally, I think the model year should be changed to something like 2003-2008.
