might be a hint to a sunburst remake and one of the configs is Jared's car most likely a long shot tho
Social media caption says "ready to tap some walls?" and there looks to be clipping zones on the outside of the corner
Looks like a Drift Track is coming to the WCUSA Motorsport Complex! Sweet! --- Post updated --- We're so desperate for teasers we started speculating and posting it here before they even got it on the forums. lol
it really seems like the devs want wcusa to be the star map, considering how much more development it's been getting in comparison to maps like italy or industry
Teaser time. It seems like the race track at WCUSA is getting an expansion or a remaster, as this section is reminiscent of a drift track. Other than that, I don't see anything interesting unless I'm missing something.
Previous teaser was rally, this one is drift, it really matches the Sunburst edit: what bothers me though is there's no lightpoles on that track, 0.35 still no night lights it seems :'(
hadn't even thought to speculate about alternative body styles for the sunburst, I think it'd be nice to get a facelift model and a wagon body style with a potential remaster, but that may be wishing for too much
I wonder if the Sunburst could have a hybrid (non-PHEV) powertrain coupled with the CVT transmission. Like the first Toyota Prius. It would have around 20 km of electric.
I feel like eventually they'll "finish" the career stuff in WC and start adding more to other maps. I doubt they'll just set the entirety of career in the one map by the end of it. East Coast and Italy would probably be the best places to focus on after West Coast, since they can both serve as larger "base" areas rather than smaller niche maps like the Hirochi raceway or ETK experience.
Solid point. Now the question arose: will further “career adaptations” for other (non-)vanilla maps be doable via community mods? That’d be awesome for ones like Polish Roads for example It’ll likely require both flowgraph and lua knowledge though.
Last time the devs were questioned about this, they said hybrids are LUA hell to make because the game doesn't like multiple engines on a vehicle. As far as we know the situation did not change, so i'm fairly sure they would focus on other easier-to-make content
When did they say that? Seems like it might be difficult but with all the stuff they've been able to do surely it is possible. Pretty sure mods have done it, just might not be totally accurate. But with everything they've been able to pull off in regards to hydraulic simulation on top of an engine I would think they'd be able to do hybrids too. --- Post updated --- I know this wont happen for years if at all but I would love a second map for career. Maybe an east coast city like New York? Or midwest like Chicago or Cleveland. WCUSA's newer areas look great but the original areas of the map are starting to look dated. A new city map made completely post-pbr would look significantly better, and I think a more dreary, gritty and gray east coast/midwest city would compliment beam's graphics better than a bright west coast city. What would significantly help WCUSA is street lights at night, unfortunately due using forward lighting instead of deferred, beam can't have many lights on at once. I wonder if some blend of baked lighting that switches to dynamic up close would be possible? If I were a billionaire I'd donate enough so that they could hire a team to switch everything to a modern engine- imagine how good that would look!
