    It was also a mistake by Saab to join Gangster Motors, should've joined Volvo or Ford, it would definitely been keeping them running today.

    It's abit shocking how Forza 1 has more cars than Forza 5. But I still much prefer 200 detailed cars than 1000 cars of which 800 are ripped from Gt4. Also the only reason GT6 has 1000+ cars is because they have to have like 20 different Skylines, Lancers and Imprezas and a shit ton of worthless kei cars.

    I'm one to say that I really loved GT4. I still play it regularly. They thought outside of the box, adding what the could. That's the only game with the Ford SVT Lightning pickup truck. That's the only game I've seen with the Lister V12 Storm. It's the last game where the cars didn't all sound like a bunch of Dyson's and Hoover's pounding around the track. I've always found the Kei cars fun. Little power on skinny tires makes a good laugh. Why didn't Microsoft think about that? They did an Apple and thought more about the product than the consumer buying the product. Yea, ok, every car can go into the auto vista, but did we mention that we cut car selection in half? No, no, no! You don't do that! he reason people play driving games is to drive the things they can't otherwise have the chance. And, damnit, I want that to be a Kei car or a DeLorean.

    I played forza 5 the other day.
    My recommendation: don't buy it, get forza 3 instead.
    Both games lack any form of anti aliasing so jaggies are everywhere. Graphically 5 isnt all that much better than 3, I think you would need to put them side by side to notice the difference for real.
    Handling on simulation mode felt *less* realistic than my copy of forza 3, regardless it felt sucky.

    Gameplay is of course the same, car selection didnt seem any better, track listing is pretty much the same. I havent played forza 4 but while playing 5 I couldnt help but think I was playing Forza 3: Xbox One edition.

    Ive been plugging away at FM5 since Christmas, and I have to say Im pretty happy with how the actual game turned out and works. I'm not too happy with the stuff they took out...Ill list some major issues here:
    -Cant sell cars, either thru auction house OR in garage. Did you waste money on a car that turns out to suck and u spent 65K on it plus tuning and upgrading? Your stuck with it. Or you can just delete it and PUFF goes 2 hours of gameplay money.
    -Cant sell parts. Bought a useless turbo that adds 18HP? too bad, your stuck with it.
    -No more marketplace (yet, it says its coming soon though...)
    -Missing some decent cars, Volvo, Saab, but theres still 4 different versions of the Skyline. (my most hated car)
    -Online multiplayer GUI is a little bland, and doesn't just let you browse lobbies. So you are stuck in a room that may contain kids ramming and screaming in their mics.
    -No one seems to cruise Le Mans AT ALL, whereas in FM4, you could just find a room to cruise and drag etc. That was one of my favorite things to do.
    -Autovista doesn't seem to do much more than the previous game, it actually seems a little less informative and interesting, the "points" on the car that you dcan explore are freaking basic and not interesting.
    -Honestly, the fact that you get 35K for every level kind of gets boring, its too lenient. At least do like 10K bonus for each level up to 30 then up it for the next tier.
    -Drivatar isn't so great, umm, the AI cars drive just like they always did. Even "Unbeatable" strength, and they still suck, lapping them sometimes with similar car class (like A class field)
    -Menus are a little slow, it takes more than a second to buy an exhaust then back out and then go into cams and buy them. previously you could fly thru these menus. now it kind of takes its sweet ass time.
    -All the micro transactions.
    -The DLC cars that have all come out (except a few, like LaFerrari,) so far are basically already stock in previous games. Ford Cossie RS500? DLC really? LAME.
    -They jacked the hell out of the engine swap menu. Now, most cars all have the same 3 engines avail, no matter what brand car you are upgrading: what appears to be a B16 Honda motor (I think), a 3.7L V6 (probably the Nissan/Infiniti unit) and a 5.7 V8 (probably Chevy sourced). SOME cars offer different choices, but its very inconsistent. A 5.7L Miata is pretty sweet tho lol
    -Damage sucks still. at least the crinkled fender texture they use looks pretty nice, and I don't expect them to implement such extreme measures like Soft Body, but why not something a little less CPU intensive and use something like GTA4's damage geometry? Its a racing simulator, but when u rail into a nigga going 200 mph, ur headlight cracks and fender rolls a little. And, the damage system itself is a little less in depth, its more arcady and basic. (I mean the parts of the car that get damaged, % wise. Its still there, but in a much more basic way, and is a little less satisfying when wrecking into someone lol)

    Some good stuff:
    -Graphics are definitely better, dunno why ^^ mentioned about that theres no AA, my setup looks amazing, and Im on a 5 year old Sharp Aquos 46" plasma. Looks much more fluid.
    -Driving dynamics are more stable, the cars actually grip somewhat realistically (don't flame me, I know its not a proper suspension system, but it feels good)
    -Drag tires are actually working now, whereas in previous iterations of the game, the drag tires barely added off the line grip, and just made your car handle like a big ballsack.
    -Interior view is great, and clearly marked dials and gauges make it easy to read, so less clutter on HUD. All I use is a map and lap timer.
    -The bonus system (besides the 35K level up) seems to be fair, and the prices of parts/cars have been adjusted so now brakes on a 1997 Civic don't cost freakin 9000$. More realistic parts pricing.
    -NOW YOU CAN PAINT STOCK RIMS!!! why the hell wasn't it ever able to be done before? I can paint my rims IRL if I want to lol
    -Chrome, semigloss, matte and carbon fiber/Kevlar paint choices are really nice, especially the copper, gold and stainless steel colors. And you can tint them, I have a Red Chrome Ferrari F50 with Kevlar stock wheels. Looks bad ass
    -The car sounds are really mic'd well, in my turbo MR2, you can hear the wastegate opening under full throttle at low RPMs, but at high RPM at slight throttle, not so much. Turbo/SC sounds are top notch too, as well as the rev limiters on the cars finally don't sound totally computerized. They sound passably real. Sound in general is much improved (surround decoding included).
    -No more FPS drops (wish I could say the same for Drive lol)

    My $0.02.
    Anyone else who owns and plays it, don't you all agree?

    Because on a 48" 1080p sony bravia it looked like a jaggy ridden mess, a problem solved by anti aliasing.

    AA is fine, I don't see what you are talking about...I think the AA is way better than any other game actually. I mean there are some jaggies here and there, but as a whole, the cars look a lot smoother and crisp. My TV is 1080p and 2" less than urs in size, I doubt 2" more would make such a drastic change like you are implying. That being said, you were right (I think it was you lol) in saying that the graphics aren't SOOOOOO much better, to me they're just a little more polished. Better be, with all those cores at work and whatnot the One has over the 360.

    Forza is a series that does look good, but to me it seams that they charge people for DLC to add cars that should already be in the game. I'll stick with Horizon and 4 on my 360.

    I agree with Shome completely, but what irritates me the most is that they haven't animated the shifter to move to the gear you're in. Not game breaking but its blaringly obvious when you can see yourself shifting but not moving the shifter, it seems like it would be easy for a game their size to implement. The sounds are incredible in my opinion though, when you spin out, it sounds like actually spinning out:rolleyes:. Engine noise and exhaust is pretty well done too. I'm currently in love with this game, faults and all.

    I still have to concur with myself that Forza: Horizons remains one of the best Forza games ever.

    Horizon was awesome. Of course, I played it a lot (like, a LOOOT) and then BIFF goes my 360 optical drive, burned out my disc, and I smashed the damn thing and literally threw it down my stairs. Now all my 360 games are collecting dust, and I only have FM5 for xBONE. So all those games are a waste now. That's pretty irritating, not being backwards compatible.

    Technically in-feasible to support backward compatibility on the one for anything but the original xbox.

    You can usually trade in 360 games for cash...

    forza 5 was built from the ground up for xbox one i love the game they laser scaned cars and tracks into the game thats why the low count on each the car and the tracks they wanted quaity not quantity. forza 6 will be amazing

    I've been playing horizon 2 alot lately, and I love it. I don't mind the lack of cars at the moment. I have an f100 pickup that I drive everywhere in the game and it's just so entertaining. Glad I picked up the xb1 over the ps4. (just my opinion ;)) Forza 5 is a near identical version of horizon 2, other than the fact that it is purely racing, and horizon has day/night and rain/sun.

    I played the horizon 2 demo and absolutely hated it.
    My main complaints are that the driving is awful, and all the roads look like racetracks, not actual roads.
    I played for like 10 minutes, then deleted it.
    The driving is what really did it, so bad.

    Nope. You try emulating 3.5ghz power pc on 1.8ghz x86 -AMD crippled module architecture x86 at that. Theoretically as a general rule to emulate machine A on machine B, machine B must be 10 times more powerful than machine A. A 1.8ghz x86 core is weaker than the 360s PowerPC core so falls far short of that requirement, emulation is also not something that scales well to multiple cores so the 8 cores of the Xbox one are useless for this task.

    Its simple fact. The 360 cannot be emulated on the Xbox one because the 360 in certain critical aspects is more powerful (emulation of CPU cores). The gpu emulation isn't really a problem as 360 games simply use directx9 rather than direct gpu access, once PowerPC emulation is solved you can simply add dx9 support to the Xbox one and access its gpu through that. Combined the Xbox ones 8 cores might be more powerful than the 360s 3, its just they don't help emulation.

    If you played the Xbox 360 verison's demo, then that's why. It's not a port of Horizon 2 but rather Horizon 2's map built in the first game's engine, sans the weather, better physics, more open areas, etc.

    From what I heard, the split screen is pretty bad compared to Forza 4, so I am going to ignore the game and wait till Forza 6. In the mean time, Horzion 2 is the way to go.
