We got a Rescue Wydra, new lightbars, and refreshed old vehicles (like with the Detective Moonhawk) I think the "Specialized" Branch, (and other branches too, with the drift zones) may be more advanced! Being able to customize our own emergency vehicle for missions maybe! And more emergency skins for the various cars that still dont have one! we might get a lot of different emergency themed missions too! And new ambulance/police/rescue configs!!
theyre new parts and the Wydra have its own rescue config, and the olde police cars recieved some new things
I really hope we get an area or type of material where the Wydra excels, though maybe a bit too niche for the devs to focus on. Currently any overpowered vehicle with tires can work its way through the viscous layers of mud given it can touch the base surface. Irl you can bottom out and get stuck which is where the little kayak would shine.
... which is why the Wydra is the best vehicle for offroading. (also, sorry for forgetting to participate in the Wydra lap around Italy challenge)
It's great when devs accidentally confirm major features. I think he was talking about next year (2025).
Anyone else randomly having issue with beam launching wrong? It starts to launch and I can click either the dx11 or vulkan button, and a black window shows up then goes away and just shows my desktop. Edit: It launches in safe mode, not regularly... verified files all is good, no mods activated... Disregard, deleted user folder and now all is good. I'd delete this post but I just realized I dont know how lol
I was wondering... Now that we have an experimental game mode with a navigator, and a note that adding corresponding audio is a high priority, what other use cases could we see these systems for? A navigator for the trophy truck would make sense. A blindfolded taxi cab race would be difficult since that would require dynamic and rapid instructions, but it would be cool (and I don't know of any other games that ever have attempted those)
Honestly i don't think the game really needs audio instructions and the like (outside of the rally navigator of course) The blindfolded race you brought up sure sounds interesting, but taking away sight in a video game is a gargantuan handicap, you'd have pretty much no feedback on what the car is doing unless you're using a motion rig or something
I was just thinking I'm pretty sure the devs filled the niches people have wanted for years, a minivan, and now a pre-war car. I wonder wants next
There's still a few major niches to fill, like a modern pickup truck and a Euro semi. But yeah, the devs have been banging out a lot of the commonly-requested niches in recent years.
Guys, I wanted to start a new speculation: Playing with this map, I thought only now about these parts... Maybe a future update will expand Industrial Site, making it bigger?
We could have something like an arguing sound effect when you are discussing insurance with someone you hit, etc.
Not to mention the trophy truck, modern supercar, and modern muscle over the last few years. My money would be on some of the other common requests: 80's Japanese rotary-powered sports, 60's GT (possibly British), 80's Scandinavian midsize or 70's/80's Soviet people's car (a brick by any other name, etc). Options abound! I wouldn't count on the Euro semi soon, as the cabover T-Series fills the role of an agile, high-viz hauler ATM. Would a Euro semi be different from the T-Series? Of course! Would it be different enough for the devs to commit 8 months of development, basically right after working on a different semi for a year and a half? Ehhhh... Not to say they won't, and I'd love it all the same if I turn out to be wrong. Just... don't hold your breath
Im so here for the 80's Scandinavian midsize, didn't they have a potential brand for it already a few years ago? Jargl or something
Had the same issue already with 0.33 since end of October this year. When 0.34 updated, it just stopped doing it and everything is back to normal. It only does the black screen issue for me once a day, but yeah, BeamNG mostly works for me now.
q_stable has been updated since three hours by counting the hours I post this message. Also, this is the second time q_stable is updated so, maybe a hotfix.
