I love, love, love this thing but I do have a couple of suggestions:
    1. A pair of bike style front fenders would be nice so we can properly recreate the Graffiti coupe.
    2. Adding to that- how do we not have chrome steelies by now? Unless I missed 'em. Wouldn't that be a matter of textures?
    3. I wish we could use the Gavril V8s with the stock rear suspension. You'd be surprised how many hot rods still run that stuff.
    4. 4x2 intake for said Gavrils pls.
Oh, and yes, full black interior would be great, as noted above

Seriously, though, this is a fantastic addition and the level of detail is like always absolutely insane. My mind is as blown as Clyde Barrow's was in May of 1934! (Heh, topical)

I guess another addition that would work with this car is treaded/blackwall tires for the skinnies, a lot of hot rods run 4 or 5 inch wide wheels up front, and it would be nice to have some skinnies without white lettering on them, extra options for tall sidewall tires for 10 inch wheels would be cool as well, some vintage style slicks or something

There are chrome steelies in the Classic Engine Expansion Pack mod, which is something you should check out anyways.
I agree with all your other suggestions, too.

In my opinoin, the Pickup bed should have a option for wood slats.

Can we get the engines from the "Classic" frame for the "Custom" one sometime maybe?

Im LOVING this car so much, for the past 2 days Ive been doing nothing but driving and modifying the nine lol. Im a huuuuge fan of old classics like this, and being able to make hotrod configs is cherry on top.

    Although, there's some little bug I found;
The signal stalk doesnt have animation on both the stock steering column and the custom steering column

The shifter "boot" is missing on the custom frame whatever the transmission you use

I dont really know about this one, but the roadster body doesnt have the slot option for rear license plate on the body. Its literally the same shape as the coupe and did have the option for rear custom lights so Im wondering why you cant put rear plates on it.

Not really an issue or bug, but I would really really love an option for license plate, placed on the custom front crossmember while still retaining the ability for equipping the fuel cell, something like this:
    screenshot_2024-12-11_22-23-34.png screenshot_2024-12-11_22-22-44.png

Hell, even a high performance radiator on the stock frame would be very very welcome, because even with the electric fan, its still not so powerful to cool the engine down

Other than that, I really enjoyed this horseless carriage, thank you devs for this absolute classic

There should be a rudimentary hand crank type startup since there is a slot for it in the front.

This car has only 3 gears, to balance both acceleration and top speed, these gear ratios are wide spread. You need to downshift at lower RPM, the calculated RPM after downshift must be below the redline for the clutch assist/throttle rev-matching to work properly. Downshift from 2 to 1 at or below 1600 RPM to avoid grinding. No need to complete stop.

In addition to that, do not neutral drop. Neutral drop means rev the engine in N then slam the gear to 1st, this damages the gearbox even with clutch pressed. Doing this can and will damage automatic transmissions as well as manual IRL, but the automatic gearbox damage is currently not implemented on BeamNG.

Just my 2 cents, I could be wrong

We had a hard time finding samples for it, it's known that's not the best sound ever, but it's what we have to deal with for now.
Unless we find someone with a I4 flathead willing to rev the hell out of it for sound recording's sake :D

Hmm yeah clutch shouldn't be pressed down when shifter is in neutral. Will check with the systems team.
Thanks, been in the team for years now, just don't get involved in social networks or forums much these days.

We settled for the "Junk Rod" style, because to make a proper old, rusty or dirty skin we need a better UV layout for our current skin system. And for that we need to rethink a couple of things first, so it's not that simple.
Big issue with this car is that from the shape it has, it leaves a lot of places with texture stretching and odd seams when using our typical 2D projection skin method. So it's not that easy to do any details like rust or dirt when dealing with those limitations.

ahh, i see, i see. I don't make skins anymore, nor was i ever advanced at it but i can see why it'd be difficult.

    1. We thought about it, since the Graffiti coupe was obviously my inspiration for that config, but we had the issue with dealing with different tire sizes. It's not possible to make the little fenders fit them all, would require a
special size for each with the way our current parts config works.
    2. We kind of have them already, if you choose the colored version and use chrome paint, but... the problem is that the color changes with the 1st slot so means the main body color will also be chrome. Will look into it and see if we can add a proper set of chrome steelies or at least change the color to the 3rd slot.
    3. Need a new transmission and driveshaft for that to fit the rear axle, so is not that simple to implement.
    4. We're stuck with the intakes we all know for that engine. If a remaster or "refresh" of it will come, I'm sure we'll add more options.

Hey, I really appreciate the hard work you put into this vehicle. Wondering if we're going to have EU-sized number plates, RHD, metric gauges, or even a pre-facelift version (say, 1927-32) in a future update.

Thanks, but I don't think any EU specs are going to happen on this one. Haven't considered any earlier body styles because they change so much, it basically involves making a brand new car. Back then almost every year there was a whole new body being released and even lots of changes in the frame, suspension, etc.

They probably will, like how openable doors were first introduced in 0.26, but only on the Covet until 0.28. And, how detailed mirrors were introduced on the remastered T-Series, but were added to all other vehicles in 0.32.

And, the vehicle that demoed these new lights is the I-Series, which doesn't have them currently.
