Good lord, I remember when I uploaded the below as a suggestion in.... 2014. Man I feel old. So happy to see a nice pre-war car officially added.

Is there a trick on not grinding first gear on a downshift? I know it's not synchronized, but even double clutching and rev matching doesn't seem effective.

    Welcome back!

And yeah, crazy how you pretty much predicted the Nine about 10 years ago. We didn't get a two-door sedan, but we did get pretty much every other body style.

I remember a person I used to know was really good at 3D Modeling and really loved BeamNG Drive, and I vaguely remember he made this car mod that was programmed into the game and looked almost exactly like the Bruckell Nine, but I think this car was made in like 2014 or 2015? but way before the Bruckell Nine just got released for BeamNG.

I really like it! I am really happy to see a pre-war car in BeamNG. It adds a lot of variety to the car roster, especially since it has quite a lot of body styles - the sedan, coupe, pickup, and hot rod configurations in particular are my favourites. The engine sounds are quite realistic for a 1930s car, too! :D

With that said, I would like to recreate that pickup truck prop from Team Fortress 2! :D

This thing rips. Needs bigger engines and full offroad suspension, though.

Is there any plan to animate the throttle linkages on the new flathead engines? It seems like a bit of a miss, considering that the brake linkage is animated and yet mostly hidden under the body. The models are great, it would be cool to see them move when there is no hood in the way.

If I had to guess, the torque twist that happens when revving would make it hard, if not impossible, to keep the linkage from the peddle to the carb lined up. I could suspend my disbelief with no peddle-to-carb linkage, but it would be especially nice to see all the throttles moving and twisting in unison on the triple single-barrels.

If not, I may have to mod them in :)

    Yeah, for sure.
I really hope we get some worn-out skins, too.

Aftermarket signal stalk appears to have no animation.

I just noticed that the upper rad hoses are firmly anchored to the radiator and seem to flex when the engine revs. Nice. Now I have to dig around and see how that was done. The lower hoses don't flex, and slightly clip through the radiator flange but it's hardly noticeable. So maybe a complete linkage from peddle to carb is not out of the question?

That copperhead road thing is badass. Would be cool if they made the paints clear coat rougher so it looked like a "coat of primer" perhaps with a livery showing that like a half-assed covered up like Johnson Valley Sheriff livery.

    • Whats the difference between radius arm and single wish bone?
Also would it be possible to get heavy duty flat head v8 engine mounts in the future or is that unrealistic? I dont know much about pre war cars.

Our taxis generally don't have details like this, it's something to consider for the future.

And game mode (may be as a part of career mode) with taxi delivery would be great.

Not sure it only happens to me since no one is saying this, when I downshift from second gear to first, rev matching feature doesn't seem to be working properly and game message says the synchronizer is grinding, and I can use throttle even though I'm holding downshift button

A lot of cars back then didn't have synchros for first gear, meaning that you have to come to a complete stop to be able to downshift from second to first. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Does anyone know where I can find its archive in the game files? I've been looking through the content folder and I haven't found it. Is this problem only with my copy? Like the car works but I can't find its archive... I want to skin it for my mod.

EDIT : I was looking at an older copy of the game I still had on my PC for some reason. I found the right one on another partition.
