WIP Beta released Barbent's Homerange (Alpha) 0.1a

It will likely be similar to my earlier map showcase video, aiming to capture the general atmosphere of the map rather than bag every kilometre of road, and I'd probably do separate videos for the rallying, railway lines and serious off-roading as opposed to paved and easy dirt roads. This will be a video I make mostly for fun instead of expecting to get lots of views and it won't be a Neilogical-style map review with commentary.

 

That would be great . Maybe you can show the size a bit and the different zones. I am excited... Looking forward!

In the "Middle East" of the map there is "Mt. Sorga Winds", a 280 meter high mountain with a 6-stage dam (as well as 2 other large ones and four small ones somewhere on the map). This drains into the "Two Lakes" area, where the WRC track is also located. Today I designed some connecting routes and loop options around the mountain, so that together a huge "full send" rally and off-road region opens up.
The dam has some shafts and passageways and via water access to the old, secret Sorga Dam bunker.

Oh yes, I enjoy them all! Some even look like old landscape paintings.

 

It is the lowest setting for fog that BeamNG handles. Additionally, it has an offset of 70m.

Maybe it will be my next project, but i have lot to learn about modding, also have to find time to learn and yet i can't do anything with blender. If i'll learn, i have lots of ideas, that is sometimes firing in my head like a volcano minigun

There are some fantastic areas around "Mt. Sorga Winds" for wild off-road fun. Many kilometers of sometimes steep dangerous terrain have been created and many more are still ahead of me. Everything is intertwined with various forest paths and rally tracks, which are now almost 20km long.

For my daily work, I am constantly creating new vehicle configurations to test the various sections of the routes. This brightly tuned D-series is my current work car. It has the official Homerange Fan paint job and special tactical searchlights with a range of up to 2 ¼ km so that I can even illuminate entire mountain sides. They are connected to the fog light circuit. When I have more time, I will do the paint job for other vehicles as well, as well as the searchlight with swivel housing as a separate mod.

I would like to release it before Christmas. I will pack in as much as I can before then. I have set myself this deadline and will try to be happy with what is finished by then. The work will then continue, of course, because so much is still unfinished.

Now I've made a nice offroad canyon. It's a bit like a maze and once you are in there it's a challenge to find your way out again just to come into another ravine. And now there is another mud fun circuit .

A Beam update (possibly...) and a release of my most highly anticipated map?? This is going to be a great Christmas indeed!

I've been playing Forza Horizon 3 and 4 a lot recently, and I've been wanting a Beam map that could offer the same size and diversity without tanking my performance...and this looks to be it!

Great work so far, and I look forward to what's yet to come!

 

Progresssss...

I like to work in a creative way. Sometimes I jump back and forth on the landscape and sketch out my thoughts. Then, little by little, I work out the different scenes. The fishing village "Pi Water" has continued to develop and, as is often the case, has also become stricter when it comes to observing the law. As soon as a small town becomes attractive, the notorious traffic offenders come along. That's why a speed camera system was installed, which now fills the community coffers well .
From gamers side it's more a speed record documentation, though .

The flash of the traffic camera can really startle you if you're not prepared for it. I made it very bright because everything happens very quickly so that appears like in reality: shocking! The radiation is so high that it is in consideration to use it for military or medical purposes. If you drive into it in slow motion, it is actually harmful to health !



In addition, the message system informs you about the speed limit and the speed you drove. I wrote my own logic, so I am more flexible to model the process and eventually show the amount of the penalty or sth . Taking a real snapshot and saving it as a screenshot would cause an interruption, so I'd rather not do that for now.

 

Nevermind, it's cool anyway I bet, that after release everyone will challenge for bigger fine, and it all will come to Your bank account LOL
