Great, now we're gonna have EVEN MORE 5 year olds running around calling campaigns, scenarios, time trials, garage, bus routes, light runner, and track builder "secret" because they aren't right in front of you on the main menu.
What a fucking stupid take lol. A new, faster, less buggy UI is one of the most requested features behind multiplayer. Here it is in the flesh at long last, but you mentally gymnasticize your way to "oh but kids will be more annoying!!!" for some reason. Absolutely wild.
Ooh playing my own game back at me I see, thats more like it. Let the profanity flow through you. Insufferable shitbag at your service
Someone peed in your cereal this morning, jeez. First off, how do you know it's faster and less buggy? Second, there's other issues with this UI too. The buttons are too big and look like they're for mobile. Third, that font looks awful and makes the main menu look like a mockup or a cheap Android copy. I point out one thing I dislike about the UI that nobody has really thought of and you get mad at me for not writing a ten page paper about everything wrong with this menu.
That's my line, I am the cereal pisser. What'll it be pal, wheetos or lucky charms? 1. So you assume they just rewrote the UI from the ground up to just... change the layout? 2. That's just like, your opinion, man 3. Thats the same complaint as point 2 4. Your complaint boils down to "kids will be more annoying because some options are nested in other menus". I think thats fucking stupid, actually. Apology accepted. Please have that 10 page paper on my desk by morning. Thank you.
We don't, no. But I'd say with how long crumbs have been being found hinting at new UI, and now this, its a pretty safe bet its a bit more major than just reshuffling some buttons. If not then I'd agree that its a waste of time lol
100% MuYe. He just made an entire video about the Quarterway Endurance track being secret even though it was in the patch notes, and it can be found through the track builder and time trial buttons on the main menu. He's this community's only real influencer (as can be seen by his feature wishlist) in this community and the only non-low-effort BeamNG YouTuber to actually get recommended to people. There's even people calling the drift configs added alongside the BX remaster (e.g. the Miramar Canyon King) "secret." It's stupid, I hate it.
He knows a balance between Beam’s core audience and its more general audience (the one that doesn’t read patch notes or explore every update). It helps maintain a lager appeal and subtlety points out problems your more casual player is experiencing. In this case, knowing you can load in premade tracks. Listing less upfront features as “secretive” also sticks with your more general crowd as well. Else the video would be titled something like “Driving the Largest Track Builder Track”, or something which much fewer people would care about.
