If beamNG does do DLC's i hope they don't become the next Rockstar games or EA, cause if im paying for updates i actually want something that isnt just a cashgrab
Some of you seem worried about our sim being available in Epic store. We are still the same dev team as always, you don't need to worry unnecessarily like this. You can of course apply a healthy dose of skepticism to everything you read on the internet, including my words. So is there anything in particular that anyone feels is suspicious, or a mistake, or plain wrong, about us selling in 3 stores instead of our usual 2 stores? We're always open to feedback, that's why this thread exists
Well its good to have the game on more stores, but still hopefully the company remains IN Breman Germany, thats the routes of BeamNG, to be developed in Germany!
The majority of the dev team works remotely from countries all over the world. Bremen is the official headquarters, but I don't (often) travel all the way to germany to work If anyone believes or speculates that Epic has bought BeamNG GmbH. or anything like that, then no, that's certainly not the case. We're just selling in a 3rd store now, that's all there is to it.
Phew....glad to hear it, Breman is like 5 hours away for me via aircraft with all that bs with the flying and arriving early and stuff
People are worried because they think that Epic Games's Store is an unusual place to sell BeamNG.drive, but I don't even know why it would be. There were also concerns that BeamNG.drive will have unique features (multiplayer) available there but not on Steam or other stores, but I don't think that's the case.
Epic Games Store is one of the most anti-consumer forces in the PC gaming space today. They brought the toxic concept of platform exclusivity to PC from the console world, have bribed developers to make their games exclusive, and extorted developers to use their inferior backend services instead of the more reliable, more robust one Steam offers by requiring games sold on Epic to use Epics own back end services. I am changing my review of BeamNG.drive to negative until such time that BeamNG.drive is no longer sold on an anti-consumer platform. BeamNG should support the stability of the PC gaming platform by refusing to publish on Epic until they stop their hostile and anti-consumer practices.
Do you think Epic Games are going to bribe @tdev (CEO of Beamng) to make Beamng Drive an epic games exclusive? --- Post updated --- Same question as before. Did @tdev release the game on Epic Games Store because they take less than steam?
Yes, but who's playing BeamNG 0.33 on Windows 7? I don't think the latest updates are designed for Windows 7. Also, as I said, I have a pc config lower than that indicated and it works perfecly fine. I think the actual one is too optimized.
Some of the people in this thread are nuts lol. Don't change your steam review to negative because you don't like the other store, what's wrong with you. Just don't use the other store for crying out loud. I'm sure the Epic store sucks, I've heard gamers complain about it since I was in high school... but also I don't often take gamers' opinions seriously so who knows.
Im echoing what I’ve seen on the youtube community post. I fear this game will end up like PC building simulator (which, iirc, started as an indie game / project / dev team just like BeamNG) and eventually become an epic games exclusive.
Alright, I don't get what all of the panic is about. It's simply just a new source to buy the game from. It will not become an Epic Games exclusive, and it will not be purchased by Epic Games. While Epic Games themselves is kinda crappy (Fortnite rarity controversy), this doesn't mean that BeamNG will change at all.
Epic Games paying @tdev $10 million to remove Beamng Drive from both steam and humble bundle? no way!
