The issue wasn't that rear single steelies couldn't be made for Beamng but rather that they didn't make much sense IRL.
Ah, okay. I totally forgot about that part. Now that we're here, I sort of made it possible to have full-time AWD without the driveshaft icon taking up space. I had to make both transfercases a separate item with their own driveshafts since the SplitterControl coding doesn't work when placed on the driveshaft. --- Post updated --- Oh, and one extra question: any chance you may continue with the Trailer Expansion? There's a lot of stuff missing and a bunch of bugs (the 2-axle short tanker doesn't support skins and tends to try to shake itself off the fifth wheel every now and then).
- It doesn't have skin support as I don't know how to get the skin system to work. Same story with the TL80 and TC60 cabs - all tankers have a "sloshing" simulation to replicate the weight shift of fuel under braking or acceleration. I though I might have to re-tune it on my short tankers.
Ah, shoot About the other part of my comment: Any ideas for adapting that into the mod? (I left a JBEAM file there too.)
It isn't a mod. The 20ft containers on the container trailer can be spawned double stacked like that.
Hey, here's an idea of mine: \ See the Wenward 5000 at the back? I feel like the 0.31 T-Series could somehow use an extra axle in that space. (I just noticed that both the Wentward 5000 and this 0.31 T-Series have the same wheelbase :d)
Update 0.48 - Added a T-60 Twin Steer frame option - Added T70 Daycab and T60 Stubby Daycab front frames. These allow for shorter Tri-Drive setups with a conventional daycab. - Added Full-time AWD transfer cases. -Added the 'T64 Mixer' config Notes: - The T60 Twinsteer does not have AWD available - The Exhaust and fenders on the T60 Twinsteer have clipping issues
Oh jesus XD I don't get why would it have a custom radiator slot, though. I feel it can be subjected to mod compatibiliy work.
Could you add a Chinese Six into the mod? It would be cool to see an upfit for logs with a Chinese Six.
That is an error on my part. That is the radiator meant for the T60 'snubnose'. I'll change that in future. Also you haven't seen just how cursed these new frames can get. China sixes are already an possible with this mod. There is even a china-six tractor config included.
Lately I've been working on a few things: 1. I fixed the radiator slot in less than 5 minutes. I simply unpacked the mod, went to "us_semi_frame_front_T70_S" and changed "us_semi_snubnose_radiator" to "us_semi_radiator". Just letting you know it shouldn't take too long to release a patch. 2. Remember my EZ-Straight gearboxes? I cloned the RoadRanger shifter and edited it to work with them. Not for VR use (if VR shifting becomes a reality), since the gear positons are very close to one another. 3. I also added a bunch of limited slip differentials to all axles. Not very realistic, but it can and has been done before, so why not? 4. I felt the T60 exhausts were a bit lacking, so I added black, chrome and painted variants. Nothing done about the clipping issue, though: I have no idea how to tackle that. I also feel like the ultra-short semis that are now possible could use a front ballast, since when attempting to haul anything with the fifth wheel the front axle sometimes lifts off the ground.
1. That was already fixed on my dev build as soon as you mentioned it. I just haven't pushed a patch yet to repo. 3. It's been requested be before and the answer is no I'm not adding them to my mod. LSD's don't make sense at the scale of the T-series. 4. I could add that customization in. As for that clipping issue I'll probably remodel the fender before the next patch. There is a reason why IRL tandem drive trucks are never that short is you have to have the fifth so far back that it screws the weight distribution. It could be countered with ballast but you'd need a helluva lot of ballast for such small truck. To get decent steering grip you need the fifth wheel at least in the middle of the tandems if not further ahead. For tridem drive tractors you want the fifth as far forward as you have the clearance for.
Got it. Also, I noticed a bug: the DualShift-Minus' splitter doesn't respond to any bindings. I'll try and fix it on my copy of this mod while you deal with that too. --- Post updated --- Fixet it: turns out it says "splitControl" in both slots instead of "splitterControl" like it should.
I've got a Logitech G29 shifter with an h-splitter mod attachment, but I'm having difficulty trying to follow instructions to set up this mod in 0.32 to allow me to simulate 10, 12, or even 18 speeds with it. The best I can do is use the splitter switch to switch between Lo/Hi, but I'd like to get a full 18 speeds setup working. Does anyone have a tutorial or instructions on how to set up the controls to do this? Thank you!
So for the "Dual-shift" and "Super" Transmissions: - If you're using a button bind it to the option under Vehicle called "Toggle Range Status" - If you're using a toggle switch bind it to the option under Vehicle specific called "(EFC)Splitter Toggle " For the "RoadRanger" Transmissions - If you're using buttons for Splitter and Range bind them to the options under Vehicle specific called "(EFC)RoadRanger: Splitter Toggle" and "(EFC)RoadRanger: Range Toggle" - If you're using Toggle switches for Splitter and Range bind them to the options under Vehicle specific called "(EFC)RoadRanger: Splitter Toggle(Hold)" and "(EFC)RoadRanger: Range Toggle(Hold)" - Also the range/splitter switches are meant to be pre-selected. This means that when you hit the range-toggle binding it won't actually complete the switch until you are out of gear and into the next one. The splitter is similar though you only need to lift the throttle of push in the clutch for it to switch. - The transmissions use a Dog-Leg shift pattern so Reverse gear is where first normally is. In other news given that mod repo updates are down I'll just post the latest update here instead Update 0.50 - Added a slanted hood option for the regular long nose trucks. - Added a new T64 'Snubnose Heavy' tractor config - Altered 2 configs to include the new hood. - Fixed splitter on the Dual-Shift Minus transmission - Fixed radiator on the T70 day cab frame
