Sorry, it sounds better in Polish. I mean, I wanted to ask the same.

This is my first body panell made using grid fill. It does look good, except for the wireframe view, which I'm not really satisfied about, because it looks asymetrical and was done by manually sliding verticies.

That's one of the reasons you guys haven't seen any progress, so I would apprieciate some help in a form of text messages.

Hey guys. Unfortunately, it was required to leave my PC at home (I'm outside my house), so the progress is paused until Thursday. By the way, I forgot to send this message 3 hours ago.

Yes, as you can see, I changed the status to "On hold". I need to get off-topic right now, but it is related to the situation. You know, when I started to focus on my mods, such as the ETK I-Series Inline-5 diesel, I was not studying enough on the accordion, my main instrument in the music school.

I changed the status, because my accordion is coming tomorrow and right now I'm not sure if I will be able to work on both Meriva and those two accordion songs, which I was supposed to play smoothly until 4th od September, especially when I'm on vacation right now.

    Thanks for understanding.

But don't be disappointed. I don't want to cancel this project.

This is what I should start with ever since the beginning:

    Watching a tutorial.
I will probably build the model from the ground up using this technique.

    Hey.
I said I will build everything from the ground up, but modeling it from a cube turned out to be a huge pain to do. The outline of the car was often based on aproximations and doing this once again would be another pain, so I decided to start to improve the existing outline, by using "Space" and "Grid fill". I'm still having trouble with Grid fill, refusing to work properly, but I hope it's fixable.
Here is a sneak-peak of polyflow I'm actually satisfied about:

(I understand that the roof is a bit to high-poly):

(Actually, I've had changed the status to "On hold", because I was watching tutorials. Just forgot to mention that)

Don't worry, the poly density on the roof is fine

The bumpers will need a re-model too.

I've had a huge problem with filling the quarter panels with faces, because I simply don't know how to do it yet, which made me forget about the front bumper rework. I will try my best to start remodeling front bumper, when I'm back home.

Yeah, so, sorry for not informing.

Looks way better than I thought it will.

(By the way, how do I remove this cyan circle? (Which looks like a straight line from this perspective))

Huge thanks to @Fabiancar for sending me some reference images.

I thought I'm not going any further, but I ended up modeling front fender and finishing the basic shape of the front bumper.

Most of the next screenshots will be taken from this perspective

The thing I forgot to mention was the polyflow of the front fender. I don't like how this area looks in the edit mode, but it's the best I could do with it and it doesn't look that bad in the Object Mode.

    Love the progress so far!
    Will there be OPC/VXR models?
I have a few name suggestions, too:
    • Roth Activa/Motiva (worldwide)
    • Maxwell/Beaufort Activa/Motiva (United Kingdom)
    • Bruckell Activa/Motiva (Latin America)

Yes, the sportish models are on my very-long-term wishlist, as well as different markets.

I might actually try to record a Z14XEP engine, from someone I know, to use it as a custom starter sound.

So, generally, the Roth brand is going to expand in the next years. Not only I'm making one, but Enderman, user on Discord, posted some very-early photos of the Opel Astra G Estate and I've already suggested the name "Roth Stella" on #3d-modellig. Not sure if he's even considering finishing that, but still.

I was also doing some brainstorming and have came up with two more names, for Corsa and Tigra equivalents. Roth Forza and Roth Pantera. That's unlikely I will make these, but would be great if somebody who would make one of them would read this post one day and use these names.
