When I drove to Luxembourg, I saw a car with a New York plate on the motorway, but I couldn't take a photo
That might be the NYPD officers stationed in France Yes, as part of their Bureau of Counterterrorism branch, they have officers posted in cities such as Los Angeles, Paris, Lyon, Santa Domingo, and more.
That would actually make sense as I saw another NY plate when I was driving to Southern France in 2022
They have been quite controversial, as they normally get in the way of local law enforcement. --- Post updated --- Here’s an HAI video on it
Saw a Swedish plate while walking to school this morning, it's the first one I've seen south of Schleswig-Holstein
I saw a Citraen DS 3 with a Palestinian license plate, I live near Gaza, but I’ve never seen a car with a Palestinian license plate, I hope this guy came to earn money...
My spots from Cologne this week: A few Slovenian plates (probably because of the football match): LJ = Ljubljana CE = Celje KP = Koper Two Italians plates, both with year 07 = 2007 (not really visible in picture, it appeared a bit "washed out" and was only visible from a certain angle) 12 = 2012 (bit blurred in the picture) Two UK plates (those guys were our room neighbours, they were pretty cool ) (vanity, JBT = Johnson Bros Tours) BF = Birmingham One Swiss plate ZG = Zug One Danish plate without Euroband Another Swedish plate! (bad picture quality, it was raining heavily and I saw it out of the building we were in so I didn't manage to get a decent picture, but it is readable) Aaaand a little bonus pic which I spotted in Brühl (a town outside of Cologne) a German plate with a red registration sticker (illegal and fake)
Just managed to finally get my first picture of the new Slovak plates on my way to Michelstadt Station. Saw another one last year but the truck was passing by too fast so I didn't get a picture. (Also, summer holidays in Hesse start tomorrow!
those are new? i thought they are fake slovak plates when i saw them (fake like some fake illegal copy)
yup, they are used since 2023 and were implemented because Slovakia was running out of combinations (as you can see, this plate does not have regional coding any more)
I don't have a picture sadly, but imagine what I saw: red 8th generation Honda Civic with a plate saying ''P6-UFO'' The irony.
On the topic of plates spelling out words, here are some pictures of German plates (where the last one or two letters can be customized) spelling out a word: "HASI", German diminutive of "rabbit" and a common name couples call each other "GOAT" "WOHOO" aaand a bonus one my friend saw, "DIEB" is the German word for "thief" and the sticker reads "escape vehicle"
trucks from june (i have more license plate photos but i can't put them all because there is a limit) Britain Hungary Kazakhstan North macedonia Serbia Ukraine Lviv region Cars (can put only 4 because 10 files max in one post) : Fake Ukrainian license plate, Ternopil' region Ukraine Kropyvnyts'kyj region (anyone know what is this car?) Ukraine Kyiv region Finland i only know ukrainian regions for license plates not for other countries sorry
Did you see the North Macedonian plates recently? Because MK plates are no longer valid and the sticker is not correct...
that photo was made in june when i was on a truck trip to Rastatt. that was the last time i spotted a north macedonian plate (because that was the last time i was on a truck trip but i will go once again soon). i saw the north macedonian plate in Sinsheim on the big parking near museum
oh I misremembered something. So it seems like the plates are only invalid for cars since 2019, as far as I understand it, MK trailer plates are still valid. But still, that sticker would probably get it pulled over
