    im just wondering since the west coast map has such a large forest toward the edge and we now have logging trucks can we possibly see a logging area in the future with some sort of sawmill on the highway

    Nope. they have to stick to minimum requirements from 8 years ago, so I highly doubt much more can be added.

    I bet something could be added like with spearleaf island or the quarry
    maybe replacing one of the existing industrial buildings out by the mainland port with a sawmill looking place and replacing some trees with a small logging operation like the ones you can see in snow runner or mudrunner

    I know. they won't though. I have suggested it multiple times (using easy and cheap to upgrade ram) and they are 100% deadset against it. They would rather die than have >1% of the community buy a 15-30$ ramstick.

    I mean, they kinda indirectly are doing it by using newer Vulkan versions.

    addition to the vehicle part inventory
    a slider bar and grid that seperates the cars by their assigned vehicle number and file name so instead of a massive collection of parts its hard to find some parts when i just own 2 cars i cant even begin to imagine how bad it would be if i had 3 or even 4

    Your forgot that it craps out on lower end PC's with low VRAM. (like mine at 4GB)

    My WCUSA has around 40+FPS at default spawn on the normal version. But with Vulcan, it takes a nosedive to 15 fps.

    At this point it will never work for lower end PC's and eventually it will either be fixed, canceled, an option, or the minimum specs will go up. I'm hoping its fixed but i don't think that's going to happen any time soon.

    Just saw the option to disable roadside assistance in the insurance coverage, does that mean that private towing companies are planned to be added?

    Sadly no, this wasn't the reason behind the ability! :) We've designed the insurance system to prevent players from going broke due to vehicle damage, and we've included roadside assistance as a default feature. Players have the option to customize their policy to save costs, like removing roadside assistance, which adds a layer of strategy depending on their play style. Our goal is to keep the default settings simple and user-friendly, while still offering the flexibility to tailor the experience to individual preferences. Some players love diving into these details, while others prefer a more straightforward approach.

    I got the same answer when I suggested an actual travel center/truck stop on wcusa for the new t series.

    why don't they just increase the minimum specs those were designed for a completely different game than what we have now

    Minimum specs have been reviewed from time to time, when we felt it was necessary and appropriate, as you may have noticed.

    That said, there's a balance between optimizing the sim, and expanding minimum requirements. We're walking that line, somewhere in between those two extremes. We're continuously trying to optimize the sim, trying to make sure that those who have paid for it can continue to use it, despite enjoying ever increasing features/map sizes/etc update after update. But we've also bumped requirements whenever it makes the most sense and is reasonable to do so.

    The experimental Vulkan renderer has been mentioned, and it's a good example: instead of bumping VRAM requirements like crazy, we're instead doing work to optimize those numbers and try to bring closer parity with the DX11 renderer. At the same time, we have bumped requirements from DX9 up to DX11 when it made sense. So this cannot be treated as a black and white problem, instead it all requires sensible decisions, compromises and balance.

    Thanks for making all of this much clearer! I've noticed some pretty big improvements in Vulkan within the last two updates and future looks promising :D

    It seems we've been officially told that while there are no plans to develop racing themes, no improvements or physics development aimed at improving the racing experience, the most we can expect is new content and missions in career mode. "But I wouldn't even count on that in the near future."

    Nobody told you that, can you stop making things up? They are working on tech improvements and there is no concrete date for any of them because the tech is experimental. Nobody is going to promise people anything because then people like you wouldn't stop pestering the devs. Can you chill a little bit? Ты очень задолбал душить своими шинами в каждом треде.
