Hi all. This is a small "break project" I've embarked on since two weeks ago as a break from one of my larger projects that follows a somewhat similar philosophy. It is a relatively modern 35ft & 50ft, 1, 2 or 3 axle gooseneck wedge car trailer that I've modeled and textured from scratch, and jbeamed mostly from scratch only borrowing the axle jbeam and modifying it from the tilt deck trailer. It's designed to work with any gooseneck trucks and fifth wheel trucks as a kingpin coupler is featured. The trailer can now work in career due to node-grab being available in career! The trailer is of full metal construction featuring single or tandem dually axles, and tandem or tridem single-tire axles available in 35 and 50ft lengths, with the dually variants having a deck width of 102 inches, and the single tire models having a deck width of 96 inches. It features leaf sprung axles with no shocks, and equalizers on the tandem and tridem axles similar to the tilt deck, and has legal payloads ranging from just under 2.5 tons to over 6.6 tons, all indicated per different model on the VIN plate on the front headboard of the trailer. It also features scratch made modular 16x6 steel wheels available with zero offset for the single tires and with 5.35" offset for the dually rims available in 4 finishes along with custom tires. It features two 9' aluminum hand-operated ramps that are to be unlatched, slid out and coupled to the deck in operation (and moved side to side depending on the loaded vehicle's track width), and detached and stowed away in the reverse order. On release, only this type of ramp will exist however soon after, I will be making a rail-based ramp system that should hopefully work without node-grab at all, or at the least of it, will still be easier to handle. There is very little lore, the trailer is made by Grant Company of Canada and is produced in North America for NA Standards since the mid 2000's to now with minimal changes. Skinning the sides of the decks? --- Post updated --- Like in the Skinnable Rollbacks mod https://beamng.com/resources/skinnable-rollbacks.25690/
It will not have skin support, only built in worn/rusty appearances and different options on the decals/stickers around the trailer
I'm unsure until I get to the simplified ramps. Perhaps involving hydros I can make something that requires no nodegrab at all but for the time being, it might need it no matter what which rules out being able to properly use it in career. Me saying it's unusable in career doesn't mean you can't buy it and trailer it around, you just will not be able to operate the ramps which is a pretty essential part of the trailer
This project was born as a warm-up to my aforementioned bigger project as it will involve similar truss style frames, and I wanted to get a bit more familiar with modeling and texturing such things before I moved on. And because I always liked this style of trailers and I suppose as a bit of a homage to the one AR162B had made
