Not cali and it was a 96 lx with the 4.6 v8 and had every extra option you could possibly get for it. It was a one owner car before i bought it. It was owned by a an old army vet that bought it brand new from ford back in 96. I eventually threw aome flowmaster super 10 mufflers on it and it sounded glorious. Then it didn't live long cause i was a stupid stupid 16 year old kid that thrashed it raced it did burnouts. The sun roof leaked super bad and the pristine interior quickly fell apart after the first rainstorm flooded the entire interior. If i could go back in time i would of taken much better care of it and id still be driving it today.
She was really nice i was working a lottle bit for my grandfather hekping take care of some property and actually bought it 2 years before i could even drive.(i got it for 700 bucks) I learned to drive in this car.

$700 for a clean Thunderbird with a 4.6L V8? That will never happen again. A shitty crate inline-4 without a car is $700. That is crazy.

Pre 2020 was a diffrent time where a running driving car could be had for a 2 grand or less. Those daysbare long gone.

Dont get ke wrong the thunderbird whilenpretty 9n theboutside needed a lot of work.

    • New powersteering pump
    • New sway bar bushings and struts and lower ball joints
    • Brakes
    • Tires in the pic were from the early 2000s and junk
    • new spark plugs and wires
    • New brake booster
    • New valve cover caskets
    • Replaced the ancient diff fluid
    • Replaced the ancient trans fluid
    • New evap purge valve cause one day right after i finished welding on flowmaster mufflers it kept randomly dying afyer drivung for a few minuets and it was because the rubber lines running to the evap purge valve were so rotten they turned to dust so i ran new rubber lines and replaced the purge valve
Then the after all that a radiator hose popped while I was doing a burnout and she died. Maybe more i re0laced but i dont remember now.

Nah I just had an online business when I was 14 that did pretty well. It was really sweet.

Yea but you can also buy a Boxster for like $900 so really you could safely trade an iPhone for a Boxster or a 996 right from the beginning. Those Porsche's are cheap because they're a travesty to service and Porsche dealerships won't service cars that old. And, if they do, the wait time for parts is weeks and the prices of said parts are out of this world. You're better off just buying a newer Porsche at that point.

Well artists can draw yiff for people, like you pay for a piece of art from an artist and they draw it for you. But I'm not an artist, I was just kiddin. And it was a "drop-shipping" business, but before drop shipping was cool. Had a big jewelry/watch store. Made up to 250 orders a day at my peak on products ranging from like $40 to upwards of $2-$3k USD. I was really good at marketing it on social media and I would have conversations with all of my customers for the most part, so I quickly became a pretty popular store for jewelry and stuff. A big pull in that industry is being able to talk to the sellers directly, and I would do phone calls and facetimes and stuff. It was actually a lot of fun and very rewarding, considering the relatively low overhead I had because most of the products came from China. I ran the business out of my garage for a long time and got to experience a lot of cool things. I was even able to buy really nice watches with the money I earned.... makes me feel nostalgic thinking about it. Every few months I'd get some new product to help market my brand. Everyone at my middle and high-school thought I was cool and/or a douchebag. Things were doin well. Eventually I got bored and overwhelmed so I closed it down entirely around 2021. Purchased a ton of gold and silver, and moved on with my life. I plan on re-opening a new online story pretty soon, but just for my photography. It's actually criminally easy to drop-ship, well, it was. Nowadays the market is over-saturated but if you can find a niche you're dedicated to, a couple hours a day to manage your business, and a very optimistic mindset anyone can build a big online store.

Also, the economy isn't necessarily to blame for making less money than someone. Yes it doesn't help but even if the economy was good you wouldn't be makin a ton of money with a car-detailing business, a part time job, and some weekend side hustles, at least compared to the average popular drop shipping business, not to diss on your fly girl. You honestly, if you're very very intelligent and lucky, could work a single day a week and make $200k+ a year if you really tried. I never made anywhere near that but I knew it was 100000% possible if I just dedicated more time and money to it. It's really just choosing the right positions and the right industry, and considering the opportunities that could come from those choices. Sure, you or someone else could work at McDonald's for 40 hours a week as that's a safe way to generate a good income, especially for your age, or you could take advantage of the fact that you're still just a kid and have less responsibilities than an adult so you can take more serious risks and see how they play out in the end. Alas, I am not a financial advisor, and most of that is just anecdotal from my own experience and the experience of people I know. But, from the sound of it you're already doin pretty good at your age, so unless you really have a hankering for making more money, no matter the detriment to you and your health, I would stick with what you're doing now.

You had me for a second there, because I've actually seen people I know make bank on stuff like that - all it takes is some wealthy guy with questionable tastes, and you're made.
But props to you though for being such an entrepreneur early on, you're about the same age as my younger bro which is totally wild to me. Totally not envious or anything :p

Oh you have no idea. There's some artist who's made at least 2 million dollars accepting very specific commissions from a Japanese multi-millionaire... let's just say it's starfox art.... There's definitely major bank in that, if you're talented. But it's a shame AI has become such a huge deal because now you don't even have to pay someone to draw what you want, and it only takes 2 seconds as opposed to a few days to a couple weeks.

AI will never be a replacement for original and quality pieces of art though.
Plenty of people will still gladly pay several hundred pounds / dollars for commissions because they know they'll get exactly what they want, exactly how they want it, and in the style they want it in because that's what a particular artist specialises in. AI art is soulless and generic, no matter how many prompts you give it. That's all I'll say.

I'd say at least not yet. Eventually it will be absolutely identical to a piece made by humans. Probably done by an AI pretending to be human and accepting commissions as well to be honest. ChatGPT can already do that. But there will still be people out there lookin for real art. I know I'd rather pay someone like Chunie a couple hundred bucks for a water color painting of my fursona over letting an AI do it, like most of the people into art probably would. It's still a very bleak and sad future to think about, though.

    Yes, identical not original.
AI cannot do anything without taking specific input from somewhere else and only takes from various existing sources, thus nothing "new" or original.
It will only be a "sad and bleak future" if we let it be and give up on our creativity. The same thing could be said for anything though.

You have good taste, I would also commission them for a piece of my fursona. ;)

I'm happy you know about Chunie. He's incredible. I'm planning on getting a large print from one of his images and hang it up in my house. That shit is real art. Should be in MOMA.

It's been 3 weeks since i've picked up my i20 N, I've decided to write a quick post sharing my thoughts on the car so far

    Picsart_24-05-03_22-40-56-533.jpg

    Engine

Break-in period isn't over yet (thank you weather, very cool!) but i can already tell it's good, being a modern engine it's torquey and has barely any lag, i'm averaging 15 km/L (30 MPG US) mixed driving which is not bad considering a) it's supposed to use more fuel for the first 6000 km and b) it's basically the same consumption as my old Agila... o_O
The exhaust is slowly opening up and boy can you hear it... the bangs are getting louder expecially rev-matching in lower gears, i was thinking to get a GPF delete but i might change my mind if it gets too obnoxious

    Transmission
The gearbox is good, 6 speed manual, short throw and the shifter feels solid, unlike other cars which can feel a bit plasticky and flimsy.
The LSD sure is a great piece to have, you can feel the front pulling the car in the corner on throttle, though it's less happy while manoeuvring at full lock, you can feel the inside tire skipping over the tarmac

    Suspension
Correction: the car does not have variable dampers, i guess the difference in stiffness i felt was just a placebo. Anyways, they're nice and stiff, makes you scared of potholes and badly jointed bridges but in return the car handles very well in the corners, it has little body roll and the steering is direct, very fun to drive

    Brakes (nearly forgot)
I didn't have the chance to properly feel them at speed but with normal driving they're sharp and the pedal is nice and stiff

    Interior
This is where the car loses a bit of score, the plastics don't feel that good; the steering wheel and gauge screen feel a bit too full of stuff, but that may be because I'm not used to brand new cars; i didn't get the optional techno pack but the base touchscreen does its job just fine. That said, the more important controls (wheel itself, pedals, shifter) feel good, the bucket seats are bloody comfortable both in normal and spirited driving, you won't slide around in them.

Overall I'm very happy with the car, i might make another post once it's broken in and i can push it a bit more
    --- Post updated ---
So much for the "quick post" lmao
