I was trying to make an off-road T-series, so naturally I deleted all the low hanging parts in the vehicle editor to increase approach and departure angle, etc. In the midst of my build, I realized the rear brakes were locking up for no reason, and after almost an hour of troubleshooting the problem, I found out that when you delete the right side-steps (nothing happens when you delete the left side-steps?), my rear brakes would stay locked and make the vehicle undrivable. This is recreatable with all preset versions of the T-series, on any map. I can still make my off road T-series build, but it looks a little funny with steps or a fuel tank only on the right side.

That's not a bug. The right side step contains the air tanks on the conventional cab T-series trucks. Air-brakes need air pressure to release them. Therefore if there is no air pressure the parking brake cannot be released. This is a safety feature to prevent runaway's in the event of a brake system failure.

If you want to have the air tanks without the low hanging side step there is this mod here: https://www.beamng.com/resources/custom-offroad-t-series-parts.30623/
