Discussion thread for the 2000-2004 Pessima MK2 Refresh, which is available on the repository. https://www.beamng.com/resources/2000-2004-pessima-mk2-refresh.30785/ What this mod includes: Updated front end and rear end (lights, bumpers, with variants) Updated steering wheel (BX RHD steering wheel modified to look more modern) Updated rear quarter glass design Updated door handles 3 new rims Plus a bit of customization Future plans: Coupe (2dr) and Wagon variant Possibly update the interior slightly Unique trims FAQ - Frequently asked questions 1. (Q) What is this based on? (A) Front end is inspired mainly by the 2004 Nissan Altima, 2004 Honda Accord, Lexus IS300, and GTA Karin Sultan (which is based on the IS300 in the front). Rear end is not really based on anything, but some features are inspired by many Japanese sedans of this era. 2. (Q) Does this count as a third generation / will you make it into a third generation? (A) Short answer, no. Long answer, this is a refresh. Much like many IRL cars, it is only a simple facelift. Just because it has a different front and rear end does not make it a new car. 3. (Q) Will you update the interior? (A) I definitely plan to, and the current plan is to just introduce a slightly updated dashboard, including a simple integrated navigation screen. 4. (Q) Will you add a wagon/coupe unibody? Will you add new trims? (A) Already stated in the planned section.
Awesome! I've seen numerous facelift attempts for the Mk2 Ibishu Pessima, but many of them have ended up being cancelled or outdated. Will it have new windows, rear quarters, trunk, and taillights?
I found this picture of a concept for some old Pessima facelift mod & made some changes. I think this would look good
What is your suggestion? --- Post updated --- Thank you both for these, I will try to introduce some aspects from them
will there be a beater? Other then that though maybe you should use some aspects from the infiniti I30 or the Nissan Maxima from this era.
I will consider a beater, do you have any suggestions for it? --- Post updated --- Updated the initial message with new photos for you all, made some progress Finished headlights (now has two variants, chrome would be standard and black would be more for the sport trims) Grille is also finished, plastic would be standard and chrome would be for higher end Also added new door handles
I would love to add a wagon variant, but currently feel as that is too big of a step for me at the moment lol. Modeling is not an issue as I have years worth of modeling experience, I am just not very confident in my JBeam skills. I will definitely try at-least
i love the new headlights, maybe you could make the rear end inspired by the third generation nissan primera
maybe blown suspension parts, gauge party like the vertex has, and also a skin with mismatched colored panels, damaged panels etc
Alright, I could definitely do that --- Post updated --- Another small progress update for you all, I am experimenting with lighting setups Wanted to bring back bumper signals as both the OG Pessima MK2 and the Ibishu BX Series have them, let me know what you think
Very nice indeed. OFF-TOPIC, Also very quick question, Would it be hard to make a spoiler for a car in blender?
