WORKS FOR EVERY VANILLA CAR AND FOR EVERY MESHLAP MOD BASED ON A BEAMNG VEHICLE! (ACTUALLY ONLY FRONT TIRES WORK) In all the Vanilla Cars when you crash hard into something the bumper, fenders and parts of the car will glitching into the tires. With this mod we have implemented the collision between the tires and the rest of the car for have a realistic resolt, now after a crash your wheels can be blocked and your tires can blows up for bumping into other parts.
Wow, that sounds pretty interesting, I admit that sometimes it spoiled the picture of a beautiful car collision when the bumper or fender of the car passed through the wheel.
Now I'm curious, why do the tires not collide with the car? Does having the tires collide with the car cause bad handling?
They can easily get caught in body panels and get punctures in situations where they wouldn't really in real life, and on most cars the fender jbeam is lower than the mesh so some wheels wouldn't fit even though they should
So did you turn on the self-collision on the tire nodes? That can cause funny behavior for most cars. Another way would be a lot of limiter beams on various parts to prevent them from coming too close to the hubs...
Uhm... Interesting? I don't think it would be possible to keep the tires like it is in normal Beam, though. I don't know, I'm not an expert.
Fun thing I found about the front bx wheels they will expand and explode very easily I found that bug when I was working on a AWD bx. mod - https://www.beamng.com/resources/awd-bx-drivetrain.30624/ bug - https://www.beamng.com/threads/exploding-wheels-on-the-bx-bug.97981/
In the game wheels doesn’t have any type of collision in any vehicle part, with this mod we have edited the collision on wheels for making contact, editing the tire Jbeam with Notepad+++ We have create a script LUA file for an easy installation. At the moment is working only with the default tires for each car (not all)
Now I've tried this mod and crashed cars into different objects, and I even managed to block one of the wheels a couple of times, it's definitely cool, and I like this mod!
