Look maybe the wrong thing to post in this kinds of threads or iam just INSANELY DUMB, but I talked with one of the BEAMNG support team about this. its kind of complicated. but here is the explanation anyways. (AND BTW, NOT FOR TRYING TO FIX BUGS, JUST MAKING SURE THAT EVERYBODY KNOWS THIS.) problem is, deep cache cleaning somehow deletes mods. dont know why. but last time i did a deep cache cleaning, it deleted all of my mods leaving 1 left also removing the mods folder, and today, I did the same as a experiment, but it actually did it again leaving 6 mods, and again also deleted the mod folder, I installed more mods after the 1st deep cache cleaning and please, this is NOT for MY own concern, its for everybody to know, and possibly fix it. so everybody doesnt make the same mistake. but yes, it does SOMEHOW remove mods, ill give the pathway to my userfolder in beamng drive here is the pathway : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive most of the time i use this pathway to install mods. or fix bugs
DO NOT INSTALL MODS THERE. When you use the launcher you have the option to open userfolder, the mods folder is there. Please only ever use that folder, and not the game install folder.
It's absolutely not the userfolder. You used the game install folder. The userfolder looks like that: C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\BeamNG.drive\0.31 then there should be a mods folder underneath. Here your mods are safe! --- Post updated --- That's the way BeamNG works. It searches content first in the install game folder, then in the mods folder and at the end in the mentioned userfolder/levels or userfolder/vehicles folder (if you customize things in the world editor the changes are saved here). Its important for making overwrites work.
