Oh, it is! The unrealistically flat water surface (not that that's your fault) looked like greyish-blue asphalt at first glance.
Fyi to everyone here, clearing cache helped, and Vulkan wasnt the culprit. Loving this map tho and the author is super nice!
I really really like this map. The map looks very similar to my local area, minus the snow. Are power lines and highway guardrails coming in the next update? Also can we get a small Rual town with 1 gas station and a fast food (turbo burger)
Thank you! I plan to have a small town and a small community in the map. Guardrails and the “rural” gas station are already in my latest update over on Patreon. I will occasionally update the free version still for people who can’t afford a Patreon membership, but it will be less often.
man, where can i give this 1000 stars? i think 5 would be an insult to this map....this is the stuff i'm looking for in beamng...if i could, i would support you financially man
Thank you for your kind words!!!! I have my patreon linked in the main post here if you are interested!
Great map, although I do wish we could just get alpha updates here. Will this eventually get a repo/forum release of the full version?
Thank you! Updates for the forum/free version will happen occasionally. Occasionally meaning every few months perhaps. I’m hoping to update the Patreon version every month or so with my latest work. When I feel the map is finished, or if I give up on the map, I will put it on the repo.
Got a lot of technical changes I need to make that will likely take a while, so I decided to do a Patreon update! -Regenerated rocks with more detail -Regenerated trees with more detail -Offroad trails have more variation and aren't just smooth paths -Adjusted guardrail height -Added and fixed various decals -Reduced file size from last update -Lots of other small bugs and improvements Everything is still WIP
In my defense I'm more than half asleep, but I accidentally paid for the patreon access. I've gotta say I think my awake self will be pleased. This map feels nicely thought out and I can't wait to see where it goes from here.
Half-asleep me made a good choice subscribing, this is looking like it's going to be a great map. While it's based off something 1500 miles south it almost gives me a feel of home (Wisconsin). I'm looking forward to more.
