I seriously don't think this things that bad, I mean, I've seen much lower quality. Don't put yourself down over it. I'm not a modder but still I totally understand that making a good quality mod is probably draining, both mentally and physically so I don't blame you for not wanting to continue. If you do get around to the newer generation Durham, I will be excited to see it although also hope you might give this one a second chance, since the Kodiak gen 2 is my personal favorite generation IRL. No pressure though, take off as much time as you need
Just wondering if anyone else is finding that the truck is steering slightly to the right when driving? TIA
This is normal behavior for vehicles with solid axles in the front, it's caused by different loads causing different ride heights, which affects the position of the axle and therefore the steering. It is definitely annoying if you don't have a wheel, but sadly something that we can't easily solve.
As far as I know, the only real way around this issue is with the use of Hydraulic Steering, the issue with Hydraulic Steering though is that it's really not good to use on paved surfaces, but a lot of heavy-duty machinery uses Hydraulic Steering, as well as vehicles like Rock Bouncers, Rock Crawlers, Monster Trucks, etc.
You can compensate by adjusting your steering center in the settings, but it will only cause chaos in different load scenarios.
i can not believe i got ban for this, they never told me why but a year later they give me the account back sad to see this poject on hold
That was a vanilla unreleased recovery body (existed as model in some versions) quickly meshslapped on an existing flatbed for test purposes. Forgot to remove it on release, not that it matters much
If y’all want 0.31 trailers to connect with the fifth wheel version of the Durham, spawn the trailer and the fifth wheel config of the Durham, press Ctrl + W to go into vehicle parts selector, then search up “Brake valve” and remove it, then connect the fifth wheel Durham to the trailer via nodegrabber (just pressing L won’t work) and then voila, even though you will have to repeat this process depending on what happens.
Any chance of updating this to be compatible with the cargo containers for career mode? I noticed in Career mode, it's listed as Daily Driver instead of Commercial which was fine with me and bought it, only to find out i couldn't add cargo containers in the box truck variant, and I didn't have enough beam bucks to see if the flatbed would have it. It's listed as Daily Driver and was cheap, like under 8k cheap which I liked, versus the T-Series that cost around 60K and requires Commercial insurance which you have to buy in order to use that category of vehicle.
