Nice! Put my attempt at redoing the frame to shame lol. Are you working on remastering the kart yourself?
Why is the thread titled done now lol Super psyched to see where she goes next! just a couple basics for you, based off of my gokart (got it for 80$ with a horribly rotted frame and a motor filled with a combo of gas, oil, and water, and now it goes 36 mph haha) - only has rear brakes (usually one singular disc, on one side since its a solid axle on a light chassis.) - gas tank is mounted atop the engine, not beside it. (bit that says PREDATOR ENGINES is the gas tank) -exhaust goes straight out the back, rather than wrapping around from the front to the back. (this is the flange, where the actual muffler would mount to. you can also see that the intake mounts opposite the exhaust side, where the carbjet is.) - Old version had suspension: it should not have suspension. (don't see it in the new design, so doubt you included it!) - Research ackerman steering, it's vital to a proper and functional gokart. (ask me how i know hahahahahahaha) - pop on some horizontal support bars. when you flip it those will be very helpful in not screwing yourself up physically. (again, ask me how i know!) - Make sure to add floors under the front frame and seats! - The steering wheel generally sits lower than you have it, but the seat itself is also usually a fair bit lower, mounted pretty much straight to the floor. Once you have mass sitting high up (i.e. a human), having that seat as low as possible makes a huge difference. (changes you from flipping into bushes when turning at low speeds to being able to sustain drifts and flat out corners without tipping. Again, ask me how i know.) - If you really wanted to make it realistic, ask CrashHard if they'd be willing to help you out with a dummy jbeam, since you weigh pretty much the same as, if not more than, the kart itself by the end of it. (hence why you want the seat as low as possible!) - beyond carbjets and intakes, the real way to make power (without buffed internals) is with a governor delete- a governor is basically the rev limiter, and removing it is what lets you rev the piss out of the engine until you run out of fuel or air, which is when it starts bogging. Hold it there too long and the engine will go boom, from my experience.) - you don't have a transmission in a gokart (pre remaster had one so i am assuming you added one to this as well?), you just have a chain sprocket or belt drive system, and changing the size of the sprocket on the axle changes your acceleration and top speed (basically a final drive, for all intensive purposes.) ((makes a huge difference, could change the topspeed on my kart to about forty or forty eight perhaps with a smaller sprocket, wheras I could potentially induce wheelspin if i had no mass and the tires were even more rotted than they already are, with a larger sprocket, since that reduces top speed and induces more immediate torque, to put it simply. A lot of my suggestions are based on gokarts like the one above, rather than circuit use ones, since those are the types i'm most familiar with. I've built one up pretty much from scratch and can help with any information you need, especially sketchy bits
Well, you could also go and ask B25Mitchell for the Dummy JBeam, and if that would be added, maybe more like an option that you can disequip
If you are remastering it, could ypu please finally add edge split to the model? It always bothers me so much that it doesn't have it, it would look way better with edge split
mate its a different thing, just same name --- Post updated --- man you know a lot, apart from the fueltank most of the things you mentioned are done now
Man you definitely should be watching robot cantina, the guy put 432 predator engine into the insight and supercharged it
I figured I'd pop in and post what I had done up to this point since liichi is taking over the project once more. Because he is taking it over, I will be not working on the kart any longer. Added aero to the front panel Added a new high rev engine with more power Added new rear wheels The new aero and engine mixed with the ultra tires and low center frame allows you to pull up to 7Gs on a corner.
Not good Apart from being on vacation I'm burnt out, i have lost all of motivation on every of my mods and beam related stuff
why just why did you bump another thread which was inactive for almost 2 years this is like the 10th thread you bump
yeah I know, he bumped a cherrier roomba, stole a photo and said that he did a very similar one (which was stolen ofc)
