I think we also need time relative times. On a post it says last message at 11:32 something but it’s well before 11 where I am
I want the dislike button to return, it was my favourite button. A load of websites have removed dislikes (either entirely or hidden the count) and I hate it. I want people to give me dislikes and I want to see how many.
While I understand your perceived approach good sir, the fact of the matter is 'dislikes' have widely been discontinued to promote expression of dislike and distaste through means of individual posts. In yesteryear, an individual would be more inclined to apply the aforementioned 'dislike' to a post rather than a solicitous statement regarding the matter at hand. As in this thread (and countless others I have participated in); fine individuals such as @PowerstrokeHD elect to expend their invaluable time heeding my regards and voicing concern not through a hushed representation, but rather meticulously crafted responses that greatly contribute to discussions. Personally having first-hand experience with the outcome of these adjustments, I can vouch for their inclusion and say that without a doubt, the appropriate choice had been made.
No, no, you misunderstand. My very good sir, it is not that I wish for forum users to express their dislike or distaste clearly in a well constructed forum post. It is bold of you to assume that I would wish for any criticism, let alone scathing, untrue and possibly ego-damaging comments. I would however wish for the aforementioned hypothetical users to blindly apply a 'dislike' rating to any disagreeable or distasteful post that I may or may not make in the near future, simply so that my admittedly basic and oft-distracted mind may gauge forum users' perception more immediately through numerical metrics and brightly coloured symbols without allowing any knowledge of their potentially biased thoughts to disturb my fragile emotional balance and leave me in a rather sour mood, lest I commit a substantially more disagreeable act and inevitably embarrass myself further. For other, perhaps more mentally sound or considerably 'normal' forum users, I would otherwise be inclined to agree with your statement. I am merely speaking for myself, as an individual, and cannot speak for everyone.
I have "force dark mode on every website" on Samsung Internet. It does the job, however I wish there was an official "Dark mode" that you can choose with deeper blacks and high contrast colors to make it OLED-Friendly. This is how it looks on my phone with that mode enabled:
Definitely better than mine! I'll play around with a few websites I have on my phone and see if I can get to that.
Might be to keep the forums peaceful. I hope the forums can add a better search engine so it can search through the threads' messages rather than just searching the title of the thread
