Hello! I am greatly happy about seeing the news of you making this mod, this vehicle happens to be my favorite car of all time and would most certainly be very happy to have this available in beamng to have and drive in! Here's some of my favorite colors and interior colors for the vehicle, my personal favorite is the iconic pink exterior with the pink interior.

    Barbiecore Cadillac.

There's a lot more than 5. And if you total up all of the paintjobs offered by the manufacturer it was like 20 different color options with 400 possible combinations. I'm not gonna lie it's asking a bit much depending on how much detail you go into when making the colors. But personally I'd be willing to help with some of the factory skins. The easiest way to do it would be to just allow the user to tweak the color and use 2 different color sliders for the two tone function.

Great news! I found a free 3D model of a 1959 Cadillac DeVille hard top roof, and even though it is not exactly fitted to the model I'm using, it works well!

    screenshot_2024-01-08_17-42-23.png -Side view!

screenshot_2024-01-08_17-42-29.png -Interior view! (Mind the unfinished dash gauges)

screenshot_2024-01-08_17-42-45.png -Only problem is the rear window, I'll try my best to make a compromised roof that looks good.

    screenshot_2024-01-08_17-41-02.png
Other than that, they look well done! And they come with things and doohickies on the roof now. Plenty of stuff to play with.

One more thing, if anyone can find a mod that has the old burnside white walls, I want to add them to this car because I think It'll look better with wide standard white walls.
screenshot_2024-01-08_17-43-05.png -Standard tires fit the car better.
BurnsideSpecial.png -It'd look like these instead of the thin Garvil Bluebuck bias ply ones.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    UPDATES, UPDATES, UPDATES!

I got almost all light nodes in the right place!
    screenshot_2024-01-11_21-58-30.png
    Roof has been texturized!
    screenshot_2024-01-11_21-33-32.png
More lights functionable! (blinkers, taillights, etc)
    screenshot_2024-01-11_21-55-44.png

Looks great testing it out on the road and roleplaying BeamNG Drive in the 1950's. The wait for the caddylack will be no more! (Eventually, soon, someday, at length, ultimately, in the end, finally, at last, in due course, later).

    CONFIGURATIONS, & MORE!

    screenshot_2024-01-13_10-46-43.png screenshot_2024-01-13_11-03-11.png -Bluebuck suspension added!

screenshot_2024-01-13_10-47-06.png -Side & door window panels added!
    screenshot_2024-01-13_10-50-26.png -Fully functional too!

screenshot_2024-01-13_11-12-36.png -Customizable bodies in game! (Coupe & Convertible)
This one was a sort of trade off, because I used a different part from the bluebuck to represent the roof so it was easily configurable, it does get damaged a little more funky than the rest of the parts but I'll keep trying to make it acceptable at crashes while also being configurable.

More updates will be coming next week, unless I feel the need to change or quickly do something. But there most likely won't be any major changes this week.

    MORE CUSTOMAZATION-Roof color
screenshot_2024-01-17_17-51-38.png screenshot_2024-01-17_17-51-58.png screenshot_2024-01-17_17-52-24.png -White-, black-, AND body-colored roofs featured now.
Now this one was hard to figure out. But I believe I found a compromise that may or may not be temporary. I kind of messed up when mapping UVs for the car's material, and it ended up getting harder than it should of, but hopefully this solution will do good. It has virtually all the colors that the real car came with, so it still looks good. Basically, the roof are separate parts. And you should make sure only one roof is used so you don't have an extra roof on the car. Otherwise the crashes might look weird and spikey, at least weirder and spikier than normal.

Here's some variants that will be featured.

    Base Hardtop
    CadillacBaseHardtop.jpg
A basic hardtop coupe, or a daily driver... in Cuba.

    Luxe Hardtop
    CadillacLuxeHardtop.jpg
One step up from basic. Perhaps a collector's car.

    Custom Hardtop
    CadillacCustomHardtop.jpg

Meant to be driven at high speeds with high style.

    Biarritz Convertible
    CadillacBiarritzConvertible.jpg
Standardized, but still very far from "basic" as a convertible.

    Lowrider Convertible
    CadillacLowriderConvertible.jpg
The ultimate cruising machine. Comes with lowered suspension and hydraulics.

Tell me your favorite one out of the five! And don't be afraid to give variant suggestions.

The Eldorado's interior is done! (Not really, but only small details left)

screenshot_2024-01-18_17-33-39.png -Rear panel and seat colored and added.

Also this mod just got even cooler because it seems to be mostly compatible with the universal dummy mod.
screenshot_2024-01-18_17-40-59.png -The back looks fine, but the front dummies are a little too close to each other.

I'll be back with hopefully some more exciting news.

Sure! But just so you know, it's exactly the same jbeam as the Gavril Bluebuck and it doesn't have the highest quality crashes. More like intermediate crashes, not great but not bad.

Going on a vacation with the family, so here are some last progress photos before I leave for about a week.

Rear light nodes fixed to correct position
    screenshot_2024-01-21_22-12-46.png -Normal taillights
screenshot_2024-01-21_22-12-51.png -Lights on (For nighttime driving, but it isn't really noticeable in this picture)
screenshot_2024-01-21_22-13-13.png screenshot_2024-01-21_22-13-22.png screenshot_2024-01-21_22-13-30.png -Left, right blinkers & hazard lights on (Blinking in real time, of course)
    screenshot_2024-01-21_22-13-53.png -Reverse lights on

And 3 new experimental variants added!

    Taxi Edition
    CadillacTaxiEdition.jpg
Standard taxi. (Taxi skin to be added)

    Police Edition
    CadillacPoliceEdition.jpg

Standard police car. (Police skin to be added)

    M.M.M. Special
    CadillacMMMSpecial.jpg

Stands for "Mini Meteor-Miller". Meant to be used as a traveling car.
Equipped with a towing hitch, heavy duty shocks & springs, and a "353 CUI 'Super-Thrust' V8 Engine" for all your traveling needs.

I'll be sending you guys a postcard from Florida! (Not really, obviously).

    WORKING SPEEDOMETER!
    screenshot_2024-02-06_17-42-50.png
(Work in progress, probably not accurate to the real car too.)

    IT GLOWS TOO!
    screenshot_2024-02-06_17-43-14.png

The needle was hard to manage, but I just replaced the one that the car came with to the one on the actual Gavril Bluebuck. Though this has been working good so far, the car came with a custom steering wheel and pedals that I want to keep original, but I can't figure out how to make the code recognize the new part as it's steering wheel.

    Dashboard is finished!

I finished it a while ago but didn't post it because I was working on another car and just forgot.

Both the Cadillac and Bluebuck can be played with in the same game now!
(Mostly at least, still some very minor problems. But the problems are not occurring in this photo.)

    screenshot_2024-02-11_14-15-39.png

I also made a "either you love it or hate it" type grille, or should I perhaps say, grilles...
    screenshot_2024-02-11_00-46-39.png
I thought it looked cool for a lowrider or something like that, so I'm gonna make it an available config.

Finally got the skins to work!

    Rusty and Dusty Cadillac
    screenshot_2024-02-13_21-02-57.png
    (Still working on the doors.)

The police and taxi skins are still experimental though. But the two-tone paint job works on its own now!

Gas, brake, and parking brake working!

    screenshot_2024-02-18_17-58-46.png
(I know I can't show it in a picture, but at least you can see what they look like.)

I think now is the time I'd be able to say that the mod is very close to release, assuming there will be no major mistakes or problems, which there probably won't.

I've been looking for a classic car to play around with, this is perfect timing.
